Yes need 5 months advance because they have lots of people. You can to their website to check out all the info in details. Once you are accepted there, you can choose the doctor. After the doctor you choose will be the one doing the monthly check up. Total cost of delivery for my twins is RM2800 as my wife opt for csec + epidural. Is a 1 bedroom for 3 days 2 nights. They will provide a reclining bed for husband as well. Is extremely cheap compare to any private hospital. If private hospital twins delivery will be more 10k.

Twins? Wow...Congra! rclxms.gif

As it is need 5 months to do booking, what else if the delivery date comes earlier?

Means monthly body check up also do it in Putrajaya hospital? Because we had called Hospital Serdang, but they ask us to go for poliknilik for checkup. I thought all gov hospital is same case.

How you did the 1st time checkup in Putrajaya? Walk in or call for appointment? Weekend open?

Thanks a lots for your info. biggrin.gif

sonerin is under the FPP scheme only for Hospital Putrajaya and Hospital Selayang. Please google more on FPP scheme first. for Hospital Putrajaya, They will need you to go to kilnik kesihatan for checkup and to get the pink book. You will need to book appointment for the fpp scheme at hospital putrajaya. i called in November and only managed to book for March 2014 so yes.. its a long waiting list...

Yes you can do monthly check up outside. What happen in my case is do check up for both outside and Putrajaya. Of course is better to do in Putrajaya as the doctor there is the one who will be doing the delivery. The check up however is week day only. The check up is by appointment only

My wife and I had a pleasant experience early 2014 with Dr Liew Fah On at Assunta, he is very experienced and puts his patients at ease. It was a normal delivery but no epidural. Good team of midwives who instilled confidence in my wife. We will see him again for the next baby. thumbup.gif

Wife Rm3.5k - (induction, pain-killer on buttocks and episiotomy)
Baby Rm1k
Single Bedded 2D (single) + 1D (labour room)

Basically after you register for FPP then they will start to make appointment for you. First class service and charges is extremely cheap. Maybe just 20% what you pay in private hospital. If you don't want FPP I think total cost is just 200-330

Hi lilyzhaowei,

My wife is planning to give birth at SJMC as well. She's attempting a VBAC (Fingers crossed) as we are to only find out after MRI as advised by Dr. Dato Siti if her hips are strong enough for natural birth.

Don't mind me asking if you'd mentioned that it's 3k for a normal birth without vacuum, forceps or epi, simply being induced (Once or twice), does it include the costs for whatever it is they do to the baby?

I just need a clear picture of total costs involved with everything if you don't mind,

Thanks in advance ya.

Hi there, the actual cost are as follows:-

Baby (Dr Sofiah Ali): RM744.09
My delivery (Dr Siti): RM3220.55

They induced me once only (through dripping) and yes, it is a normal birth icon_rolleyes.gif

My nephew wife's went to Hospital serdang for delivery last 2 weeks..

Total cost for discharge just RM140 for c-sec.
This is government hospital but the service is like private hospital.

It is clean too

Heard that the hospital is clean, mid wife is good and breast feed friendly too.

It is so much cheaper if you are budget constraint.

yes, most the top doctors was from Government too, is just that the nurse patients ratio in government is high thats why you wont be getting the tender loving care as if you in private...

therefore paying extra in private will give you the tender loving care different

Perhaps you are right about the ratio. Just my experience with government hospital nurse is so much better compare to private hospital. SJMC and Sunway both gave me bad experience. Just feel frustrated when have to pay and get sub standard service
