I hope he will not advise me a c-sect. I do think I can push. I really want to deliver via NSD. I know it depends on the situation by then but I hope he'd not be too hasty and decide a c-sect immediately
*
But sometimes during emergency situation such as baby heart beat is too low during normal delivery, complication before normal delivery etc, doctor will definitely propose C-Sect. We as a husband/ patient leave with no option which is to listen to the doctor advise. I don't think we have much time to wait, research, negotiate....

Good day everyone,

A father to be here and my wifey just completed her first trimester recently. So far been taking her to Pantai Hosp in Bangsar. Can't really complain about the service there but I'd like to get feedback from mums who have given birth there recently as to how was the experience. Also what can I expect to pay for both normal delivery and C sect when the time comes?

I did have wifey admitted in Pantai about a month ago due severe morning sickness and had difficulty to secure a single room in the maternity ward and was informed that they only have 4 single rooms which are almost always full. As such I'm reconsidering if we should look at other hospitals in the vicinity. We chose this hospital because it's the closest to where we are now.

Would certainly appreciate any feedback from dads or mums who have chose Pantai Bangsar to deliver their baby recently. Thank you for your replies ! Have a pleasant weekend! smile.gif

First of all congratulation to you and ur wife. My colleague just delivered there and she is quite happy with their service. Btw, she done the water birth there with Dr. Idora. My wife is also following Dr Idora now and we are expecting our baby next Jan. smile.gif

As for the charges, it really very much depending on what your wife and the baby going to use. For my colleague, her damage is about 5.6K (natural water birth without epidural).

Hi Sonerin, thanks for the reply.. but what I am getting from the blogs and all is that I do not need a pink card if under the fpp scheme. . Just need to get an appointment with them amd they will register me in.. for those not going under the fpp scheme only need to go for pink card..

Please advise anyone who has gone thru the fpp scheme without going to a government clinic first..

Thanks

Hi, I'm pregnant 18weeks. It's my 1st baby. I'm going under FPP scheme at Hospital Selayang. The 1st check up was on last month with Dr.Yu. Tmr going to be my 2nd check up.
I never go to any Klinik Kesihatan to register/check up before. On the 1st check up at Hospital Selayang, they gave me a Pink book. Is it same with the Pink card u guys discussed here?

Is better to get the doctor from the hospital Putrajaya to do the regular check up as the doctor will be the one delivering the baby. Anyway, you can get 4D scan for free in Putrajaya.

Oh I see. What I did was go to private gynae outside for monthly check up still while also getting check up from Putrajaya hospital. Is kind of like having double check up. Just to have peace of mind. Of course will be more cost as well. For my case, is being paid by company so is ok.

Congratulations to you and your wife.
i delivered my girl during July and the service is good. Stayed for 3D2N at twin bed sharing room as single room was full.

Total cost for my baby and me is RM11.1k as i went through normal delivery and end up emergency c-sec due to baby lift up her head.

Not sure about Selayang, what I know is Sungai Buloh and Kajang one is very good as well. Is comparable with Putrajaya.

My wife got a planned c-sec on Dec last year in pantai bangsar, she admitted one day earlier due to operation in early morning. stayed 4d3n, total damage is 11k including baby and epi.

Hospital is great, nurse are friendly, BF friendly and it's pretty cozy, the only draw back is the availability of the single room, we were lucky to get one in the dragon baby boom.

Otherwise if you insist to get a single room, they will get one for you in the upper floor but it's a long walk to see the newborn.

My wife deliver at Sunway Medical ,Sunfert Clinic By Dr Lim. And normal birth total damage is 5k with 3d2n. So far their service and nurse are helpful. For me i am ok with their service. Will recommend to my friend as well.

Yup. If we choosen 2 person room plus baby is alright w/o complications,
the bills should be within 7.5k region for both mommy & baby
