Hi,
Has anybody delivered recently in QHC Medical Centre Subang Jaya? Do they promote natural delivery? I wouldn't like to be cut unnecessarily. Thanks in advance, This post has been edited by Filos: Nov 4 2011, 12:22 PM |

QUOTE(echoesian @ Jul 25 2011, 09:24 PM) Hi!For a normal delivery it's about 4-5k, for C-Sec it depends on your situation. Can go 7k and up. Budget about 150-200 bucks per antenatal visit for consultation, blood tests, vitamins and whatever else needed. But in a heart beat would I recommend Dr. Paul. He's gentle, friendly and most importantly, he's genuine about his patients. Hope this help s:) |

If I'm not wrong you will require a medical card from the Government hospital so the best is to do your last few check ups at your home town's government clinic...if not, not sure will there be any delay if you directly do admission on the delivery day...I could be wrong..any one with such experience?

My wife delivered our baby in Prince Court Medical back in June costing roughly around RM 4.9k (self pay GLC probably double)
Stayed 4 days 3 nite since baby need some medical attention. I even asked the cashier 3-4 times on the total bill heheheheheh Natural delivery without epidural cost RM 3k+ Baby Handling Cost RM 1K + Single Standard Room - RM 150 / pernite = RM 450 Misc *paed visit + hearing test bla bla bla: RM 500+ Even internally (I've asked) the nurses in PCMC prefered Dr Paul Tay. The charges he estimate prior to delivery (natural) is around 5k or could be more subject to delivery. The rooms are 1st class and the midwife are excellent too. Switch our consultation from Ampang Puteri to PCMC is the best decision ever. Imagine AP charges never less than 180RM regardless wether there is medication or not and most of the time more up to RM 250+. On top of that the docs hardly gave you useful advise / something new. Our 4 visit to AP is blown to pieces just by 1 visit to Dr Paul Tay. Lots of parking for visiting family + private room + flexible visiting hours are added benefit The only bad experience is with Pediatrician Dr. Sharmila which appear not professional at all! Doing her round late and appear messy with long untie hair. She is having flu and holding and inspecting babies without a mask (which is charge Rm 300+!) Anyway we switch to Dr Anthony James (which is really2 good!)after my wife released from the hospital. The follow up consultation fees a bit steep but we are more than happy to go. Lots more to write on the good stuff, but the cashier at the main entrance is a failure can't use Debit card while the rest of the internal clinic cashier have no issue at all. If anyone need more info I am more than happy to reply PM This post has been edited by mzriders: Nov 16 2011, 01:48 PM |

QUOTE(ImUrDaddY @ Oct 29 2011, 11:21 AM) my wife also checked by him... he is quite a responsible doctor... he found my wife have very high blood pressure when morning when last 1-2 week before birth and he insisted my wife go to hospital immediately and immediate C-Sec if possible, but that day is Saturday and there have a lot of patients went to his clinic for check up but still he spent some hours (afternoon & evening) to skip from his clinic for ensuring my wife & baby's safety... hence he also went to hospital for check up on my wife when early morning & late night too several times... respect him... |

Hi,
My wife plan to deliver to in PCMC in Feb 2012. In 2010, she did the check up and deliver in PCMC, the price was roughly RM250 per check up including the medicine. Now the price had increase. Now almost RM200 per check up without any medication. Hopefully, the deliver cost will not increase so much. Will update back after my 2nd prince born. huhuhuhu.... |

QUOTE(florey @ Sep 5 2011, 01:29 AM) Recently just delivered my baby girl in SDMC (previously known as SJMC) Mine was the other way round. I supposed to deliver by Dr.Tan but he went for holiday, finally, Dr.Foong is the one who delivered my baby. Follow up with Dr Fong Chee Kin throughout pregnancy and delivered by Dr Tan Teck Sin (Dr Fong was on leave) and i was 3 weeks early Highly recommend for both doctors, extremely profesional and strong advocate of normal delivery Upon Check-in must pay deposit of RM4000, assuming normal delivery estimate is about RM4000-RM5000 (depending on epidural i guess) I was hoping for normal delivery, however after 18 hours of on and off contractions, doctor recommended c-sec (trust this doctor - cos he actually scolded my aunt when she ASKED for C-sec, so i know this doc wont simply recommend c-sec to make $$) Therefore after epidural and c-sec total bill was about RM11,500++ with 4D3N stay in twin-sharing room. Dr Tan said as long as i fart and poo (seriously no joke) then i can go home, but i decided to stay another 2 days as the Child Dr suspected my baby may have jaundice - true enough report on 3rd came out positive... so i stayed for 4th day for treatment - cos i wanted to breastfeed and very far to travel from my house.... Overall experience in SDMC with nurses and Dr are very good - except for the queue After a week i had infection on c-sec.... sigh... but thats another story.... But my experience with both of them are really not so good... My bill charges at SDMC also is RM 1xxxx,xx.... Now I would think that it is so costly. Tell me the story after u had ur c-sec.... I m really interested.. |

Happy new year!!!
Need some advice from experienced parents here.. My wife just tested positive yesterday and we plan to go to a specialist to confirm it. As we stay in Damansara Utama, i think it's best (and more convenient) to go around here. Any recommendations of a good specialist centre / gynae to go to? By the way, if we should go with the gynae, does it mean that we have to deliver at his/her designated hospital / medical centre? Your advice / suggestions on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Dr. Siti Zaliha of SDMC is highly recommended if you decided for private hosp. My advise you go to gov clinic/ hosp n private hosp for chck up. You can use medicine given at gov clinic n just pay for consultation n suppliments if needed in private hosp. Its all depend whr your wife want to give birth. Thanks in advance! |
