Hello,

My wife delivered at Columbia Asia Cheras Selatan by cesarian. BB overdue and wife has no sign of going in labor.

Total damage about 5.3k (wife) + 1.0k (bb)

room clean (new), service good..
but very few obstetricians...

Overall.. satisfactory..

2.2k inclusive of room and everything else?

Added on January 10, 2012, 5:29 pmIf that's so then kinda affordable ah, compared with sunway which is at least 2x - 3x that amount

Happy new year!!!

Need some advice from experienced parents here..

My wife just tested positive yesterday and we plan to go to a specialist to confirm it. As we stay in Damansara Utama, i think it's best (and more convenient) to go around here.

Any recommendations of a good specialist centre / gynae to go to?

By the way, if we should go with the gynae, does it mean that we have to deliver at his/her designated hospital / medical centre?

Your advice / suggestions on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

For vaginal birth :

Government staff with GL = free / minimal fee

Other people (not "semi private") = 700 plus

UKMSC (specialist wing, considered "semi private") = 2-3k

UKMSC still share delivery room with other patients.. only wards and specialist different. I can vouch that specialist wing nurses are lousy.

C-sec at a general hospital. Good care, they know what they're doing, they don't pamper you too much and get you prepared for baby care minutes after the procedure, etc. Superb baby security!

RM140 (two weeks stay)
