Hospital Serdang,
Birth was on 16th May 2011.

My wife had to be warded earlier because the amniotic fluid was leaking.
So, she had to be induced about 3 times. Normal labor.
Spent 3 nights on class 2 ward (before labor)
Spent 1 night on class 1 ward (after labor). Class 1 ward was very superb. One big room where you can spend 24 hours with your wife.
Overall charge would be RM460.

now 2nd pregnancy - due july 2011
fee still around same figure
but baby songsang and im 35 weeks oledi, if planned c-sect, fee is around rm6k, but if emergency lagi mahal
doc says another checkup end of this month, if no more songsang, ok can go normal, standby anytime. but if songsang lagi, will operate 1-2 weeks after that

Anyone have exp at Tropicana Medical Centre? I heard the place is very expensive & they always do C-sect last minute. Is it true? Considering to deliver there because near my house but now have second thought.

Recommended hospital for their breastfeeding friendly policy. Mother need to sign consent letter for cup feeding formula. No bottle feeding allowed. Nurse will make noise if sees bottle around.

Not recommended for food. LOL...

Just sharing info that i got from TMC

2) For caesarean birth delivery (without complications) – RM6,000 to RM8,000

hey u delivered there is it? I wanted to delivery at JMC too, but i heard mixed reviews abt the place... my GP told me he is not that good, but a few frens said he is good & encourages natural delivery

Yes, my first baby girl....2nd baby will be deliver there also......
Nowsaday, there have around 3 consultant doctor....but for deliver and operation just handle by Dr. Damo only...
normally want to consult dr.damo must wait for more than one hour.....
If Dr.Damo have emergency case.....must wait another one hour jor....
Dr.Damo is very experience doctor....and normally he is encourage to deliver normal and not operation.

oh yes appt wit him is very long

i make appt, go in at 9am, still need to wait till 11am to see him..now i give up and just go KKIA... they even check my blood there and takes the same amount of time

not bad. at least those nurse there are very friendly and helpful.

Baby was placed at the baby room and they will take care on behalf, like feeding, bathing, change cloth, etc while mother after gave birth can have rest and no need to worry too much; of coz you may ask them to send the baby to your room anytime.

as for the food... well, so so only, but my wife ate the food cook by mum, not taking the food there, so I makan... 1 day 4 meals

as I wish to accompany my wife and stay over nite, thus I took the 1 bed room.

so everything included + 1 bed room = rm2400+ right ?? price very reasonable , moreover near to my house

initial package price was RM1.4k (1 nite stay - 1 bed room, normal delivery, without any other method/assistant like vacuum and so on), then plus this and add on that, so end up... RM2.4k, as expected. haha

some more when discharge, they also gave us some free gift, hmm... more like sample.
