Hi may I know for which doctor?

The quote I got from Dr Wong last month was
Normal - at least 4K
C-sect - 10k

Quite confused with Sunway's price now cz my friend went for a c-sect and stayed 4d3n at single deluxe room, she said the charge was only around 7k. Quite a huge gap  hmm.gif

no idea which doctor as the reception / nurse said so in general.

Why need c sec? The bill is scary. :-*

I delivered under dr chuah bee poh from tong shin. He is so pro and supportive. Normal delivery. Mum n baby cost less than 6k. I stayed more days because i delivered at night.
*
Because been in labor for too long, water broke, so went into emergency c-sec.

at that point of time, anything to make her feel better, $$$ can talk later already..

I delivered my twins via c-sec at Columbia Asia Puchong with Dr Loo from Chia & Loo.
Single room (4d3n) + no epidural + baby nursery. = 12.5K.
Very good service. no complication.
Hubby can go in with me to the operation theater hold my hand while they operated me. Happily welcomed my two boys and while discharged they gave us 2 gift bags. Highly recommend.

Hey Jumper08,

I just delivered in UM Private Wing; UMSC in July.

Natural Delivery, 2 night stay (I delivered at night; so I stayed that night; and one more night for observation only); baby healthy no jaundice.

Total Cost for Mummy is:  RM3,300+  (no epidural)
Total Cost for Baby is:  RM1,200+ (inclusive of injection ++)

Recommend to go to Prof Siti in UMSC; she pro-natural and will try her best to go for natural.  smile.gif  Hospital service is good.  Private wing only 3 delivery suite, so maximum there'll only be 5-6babies (approx) in the nursery, got personal attention.  Plus point also, if there's any complication (touch wood), they will straight away refer you to UH (government hospital with the most advance tools and technology and qualified obgyn), so you won't have to worry.  smile.gif

Hope this clears your query!

So, for the rest, contributing because I was searching for cost before I deliver too!  Hope this helps!

For monthly checkup I go to Bangsar Specialist Centre, Dr Kamaljit, amazing Dr as well.  smile.gif  Both highly recommended.  smile.gif

Hi,do you mind to share how the C-sec done by Dr Loo? I'm coming 37 weeks, still not firm the mind going to c-section or Nirmal delivery. .heard fr some info that c-section is very painful n the scar is ugly n big (heard Ard more that 9cm long ><) my gynae is Dr Loo too, so like to know his operation "works" is nice o not..haa..btw 12.5k is seem costly, maybe because you deliver twin babies =)

Hi, just wanna share my experience.
went for Hosp Putrajaya FPP under Dr Hazim.
stayed one night rm300 executive room. bb delivered using SVD vacuum + epidural.
paid extra rm300 for pressing red button to call nurse (they didn't tell got charge, we press for not urgent matter)
total costs: rm2k

if wanna save money, minus epidural, minus red call button, minus vacuum should be around rm1k only haha thumbup.gif

The best and fully equiped hospital to give birth in KK is actually Hospital Wanita dan Kanak2 Sabah (aka Hospital Likas).

http://hwkks.moh.gov.my/

Its a government Hospital with many consultants and specialists, and it serves as a referral Hospital for the entire Sabah.
(meaning - ALL complicated pregnancy cases will be referred to this Hospital)

It wont cost an arm and a leg to give birth or to have c-section (if indicated) there (even 1st class room wont cost so much)...

See here:

http://hwkks.moh.gov.my/data/pdfdocS.i.m.x...dar.bayaran.pdf

....and within the same building there is the Pediatric department with its own consultants and specialists - should your baby have any complication at birth (God Forbids), the neonatal unit is ready to treat your baby.

Why not try general hospital? It is way cheaper and having the most experts around. Since when have problem, private hospital will refer to general hospital also.

Opps...urs was lower price, as i checked this morning.
The officer told me price for normal birth year  2015 is

Columbia Asia - Bukit Rimau
Normal natural birth ~6k+
C-Sect ~9k+
Worst thing,Dr Loo available slot only on Jan 2015 onwards for new patients

Sunway Medical Center - Sunway
Normal natural birth ~7k+
C-Sect ~8~9k+

What surprise & how to afford to born a baby in future?

We have government Hospitals... yet you still want to have baby delivered in private hospital? And complains about the fees they charge for a mere normal delivery? biggrin.gif

Did you know that private hospital will push your wife and baby to the government hospital the moment they couldnt handle any complication that occured during your wife's childbirth?

I am speaking as a medical doctor working in a government Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

My wife just give birth, need to do c-sec cry.gif
What to do, baby's head keep on moving up and down.
Lots of people never know that in Malaysia, the top 3 O&G hospital is in Seremban's Tuanku Jaafar hospital because of the head of department that really an expert in this field. And the new block just for O&G opened recently and the facilties inside are really good and advance.
In Seremban, always only Columbia's Dr. Khoo(old man that can't do operation, that's why keep on suggest natural deliver which get his name), KPJ's Dr. Ivan Lee(cause a death before), Dr. Rekha and Dr. Yoong that has their clinic in town. Price are freaking expensive.
If let the above doctors do c-sec, at least rm6000 for workmanship and without paying rm12000(minimum), wife and baby will held hostage.
But I only pay ~rm1700(buy cake and fruit juice for the nurse as token of appreciation) to get 1st class room and operation done by the head of department, Dr. Krishna Kumar.
And for the 1 whole week in GH, all the meals I take(not my wife since I brought her food) in GH, even better than private hospital's food(like rubbish).
But I still need to thanks to people that like to boast how much money they wasted in private hospital to get 3rd class service, so now GH are not as much patients as before.
