When I go back to my hometown I have to use 2G
In my hostel I have to use 2.5G
But I'm subscribing to RM58 unlimited plan

u get it wrong..

u never use the 3G band for calling.. is is around 2100Mhz here in Malaysia....

ur GSM only 900Mhz or 1800Mhz....

which mean ur phone it self.. u off all the network, u already have 2 different bands running..1 is GSM , 1 is UMTS... but technically speaking.. it actually have more.. like GSM.. it already have 2(up n down) by itself...

did the 1st sign drain my battery? n does it shows its download data using my line?

What a waste when u are on unlimited plan and using 2.5g below

If you're connected, it drain your battery instead. Even you don't have credit (on prepaid), it will try connecting.


But if only under 3G/3.5G coverage, I think its fine. The phone automatically search GSM coverage to 3G coverage, it won't connected to 3G/3.5G.

Yup..I had to agreed with this..would suggest Off the 3G if you phone is idle..same goes to SGS ,IP4,3GS that i had

Btw, I noticed a lot of people here ask the same questions regarding the phone, i.e. "why always connect to wifi/network" since we know the main culprit is the e-mail widget, we can just change the settings there.
