It's what you can expect from 1200mA battery.
Why Nokia don't produce 1500mA batteries still puzzles me.

1500mAh is better though, but I think I can live up with the battery life. still better than my SGS

how u settong the widget keep offline?btw, i dun have any wifi in my house so my widget cannot connect to the internet but is it possible its used my maxis internet without my permission? the widget like tv3 n tv8 is it?at the 3rd homepage..

btw im only try its camera only 2 shots last nite,huhu..

Yes, i think your widgets are attempting to connect to an available network for updates every hour (whether it ends up successful or failure). I dun have the phone yet, will next it within this week. But the widget settings can be done in the Settings section. On homescreen, click options and try to find something about widget and set it offline (but it can still attempt to connect). You gotta set it Connect when asked in the settings section i think. You can ask Leo, i a bit blur but this issue was discussed earlier and has been solved.

Try changing to GSM line to save battery...
my X6 can last about 2days on light to medium usage...
heavy usage with constant wifi surfing about half a day...then "low battery"

Disadvantage of N8 for my opinion:- (Phone i owned now to compared with n8 :- 3GS ,IP4 ,Samsung Galaxy S, BB 9700 )

1.Browser is lag..Using wifi nor 3G <--future firmware to fix ??
2.Social Like facebook n twitter lag..BB 9700 also faster than n8 on social program.. sad.gif<--future firmware to fix ?
3.Battery usage( now charged for 2 times after got my n8)<--this one definitely had change my mind after i brought for RM1600++

Advantage :-
1.Camera /Video Cam
2.HDMI OUT <--Kill a lot of Current Smartphone.

BTW, whenever u feel like changing something that u dun want, the first thing u shud do is to explore the Settngs section. All nokia phones are like that.

I say N8 battery life is good.

Maybe I switch off all 3G connection and just connect to WiFi instead. Btw, if anyone experience below <12hours battery life, it could probably your phone always connected or Widget is always on. Try switch to GSM Mode, dun use Dual Mode.

Maybe noob people like us dunno how to toy with the settings yet... >.< I will definitely disable the 3G (if there is, i will select NEVER connect without asking) and use GSM only because im using prepaid, will never touch WAP and 3G, only Wifi. I just noticed my N95 frequently has the 3G sign below the reception signal bar. That means it connect to 3g network automatically? (never checked the settings). No wonder battery drain...

IMHO, to properly judge the battery life,

1. Let the battery goes through few charge cycles
- battery only operate optimally once it gone through few charge cycle.

2. Wait for "new toy syndrome" diminished first
- when u received a new toys, u will play with it all the time just for the sake of touching it. This kill the battery.

disabling 3G definately bring the phone battery go much longer...

I think it is same goes to Desire/SGS....

my phone for example.. without 3G 2 day+.... with 3G.. 15-16hours max...

coz the phone keep searching for 3G network when u are out from it.. and keep synchronizing data while on network.....

for those who do not use data.. Disable all the data will be the best...
