Zitron and avaxx sales person told me, the sirim sticker can be remove and please stick it on the warranty card and bring your warranty card along when want to claim warranty in the future.
*
Thanks, thats real helpful. Just removed it and placed it on the warranty card. Tho the zitron sticker is in pieces due to its safety feature. Shouldnt be a prob right?

I realized that my N8 seems to constantly reconnect to my house wifi and wondered whats the issue since every time it does so, there is like 2kb of data being downloaded. Some guys here have the same issue, right? I believe its due to the phone trying to sync with your mail.

My Solution: Go to mail, change the settings there. Change the retrieve mail frequency to any desirable time. i.e. per hour, per day, etc... Playing around with the settings there would deal with the connectivity issue. Hope this helps. tongue.gif

Lucky you! What colour eh? biggrin.gif
Btw, I noticed a lot of people here ask the same questions regarding the phone, i.e. "why always connect to wifi/network" since we know the main culprit is the e-mail widget, we can just change the settings there.

Suggestion: Why don't we add a FAQ to the first page eh? tongue.gif

May I know how? Can transfer messages as well?
My SIM still in X6, due to the fact the Phone Switch app cant transfer messages into N8 for no apparent reason
TIA

Everything including message sync-ed just fine for me. Perhaps you could try going through the comp if it doesn't work through phone switch?

Happens to me too. Practice it. Even using iPhone keyboard is difficult when I try it first time.
*
Yup, took me quite some time to get the hang of it. About a day to really get used to typing on touchscreen. *Previous phone is N95 tongue.gif )
Remember, Practice makes perfect!

P.S. You could also look forward to swype that is comming out soon for the N8

Hey Nicholas, you gonna add a FAQ to the front page? That would be very helpful to new users. Cheers!

Like some of you, my N8 also always connects to 3G/GSM (depending on what mode I set to, dual band or GSM only).
While it doesn't download anything (check the up/down counter in Connection Status) it gets annoying.
I have no widgets or push email that needs to connect, so still puzzled why it's always connected.

Thankfully battery life so far hasn't suffered from it. Charged till full last night (around midnight) and it's still at full bars now.
I did some calls, many sms, some web browsing, camera, and downloaded whatsapp and it's still full bar.

Whatsapp is pretty cool. One year of free sms via data/packet network. For those with unlimted data plans, it's another option for texting and chatting.

Another power saving tip: When you are idling/going off to bed, tap the battery icon and activate power saving mode.

Does the 3G sign have a little forward-backward arrow below it?

I believe so, it is afterall called "power saving" mode.  smile.gif
Yup. 3G or Edge @ E. All have that fwd/bw arrow. Means it's connected. Check your connection status though to see if any data is transferred.
For me, there's none (unless I actually use the Internet or download stuff of course).

I'm aware of that, thats why I asked, haha. Mine doesn't have arrows at all as well. So your issue is that you're under 3G coverage? It doesn't really drain your battery unless your using it, no? hmm.gif
