i think its nappa leather, it feels the same as in the lancer...reason for it not being stated in the brochure? probably the same reason the MIVEC engine with INVEC3 engine & gearbox, and magnesium paddle shifter not stated in the brochure as well...just not to put direct comparison to lancer selling point..some sort of agreement happening here...

don't mind bout the sound too much as im recording using my phone and the audio pickup is not exactly accurate. Bout the gear changing sound, that was coz of the driver using the shiftronic mode. laugh.gif But yeah, the cabin noise is kinda obvious especially coming from the wheel arch area. nod.gif

Just checked the 2.0 inspira backseat..too soft I think..at first I think proton just want to cut cost by providing soft seats but after that I went to see original lancer and try its back seat.. Almost the same with inspira

synthetic oils..maybe, mitsu engine have the affinity to work best with synthetic oil, ever since it 4G9x engine series...observe the GTI, Putra & Wira 1.8...cheap oil will cause the loud tappet sound..

however, not too sure about 4B11 though...eventhough all indication heading that way...mind u, other modern engines do this as well...even the ivtec engines makan oil quite significantly, need to check & topup from time to time..

major servicing, wow..that steep...but rm300 for CVT oil does sound realistic...this is the quirks of automatic gearbox, not only on inspira/lancer..but on all car...if maintained properly, it will serve u well..if not..well..u got the idea..

QUOTE(jychow @ Nov 13 2010, 08:53 AM)
I've to provide some explanations to the issue of central locking as I was d one who mentioned about it in one of the earlier post.

It has keyless entry and central locking mechanism. I used the key to lock and arm my car when I left. I enter it with button on my key to disarm and unlock the doors, all 4 of them.

What it didn't have: when I drive the car, it doesn't lock itself automatically with either brake or rpm mechanism. I've to lock it myself after I enter the car.

I hope I made it clear enough. Don't want to cause any unnecessary confusions here. I love  my Inspira. :-)
*
Bro, need to correct something here, you dont have keyless entry, it's key entry, keyless entry means you have exactly no key, just a remote with start button inside your car, once you near you car, car will automatically unlock due to unique signal detected from keyless remote, and it will lock automatically once you go far away. With keyless entry, you just need to stick the remote at keyhole there, and push the start button, not key in the key, and turn it to initiate startup.

It has central lock, but not autolock. It will not lock automatically either by RPM or speed.

QUOTE(Sarguna @ Nov 13 2010, 09:19 AM)
when you drive time the doors auto lock
*
QUOTE(coolster @ Nov 13 2010, 10:23 AM)
what i know central locking is you lock your windows, so that your children wont accidentally open up the window and throw out.

You are mistaken with AUTOLOCK which mean it locks all your doors after braking or rpm.

My previous car got Central locking, not Autolock. smile.gif
*
Inspira dont have, for good example, Myvi have central lock and autolock as well, autolock engaged by braking.

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Nov 13 2010, 11:58 AM)
regarding the CVT, they added the cooler and diverted more air to it..but i dont think it is an issue(for me at least), unless for those who want to go up to 200kmh..which i'll never do.

ABS on the other hand, i have no idea about it..any info on that?
*
You sure you will not drive up to 200kmh? Wait till u enter highway and u will feel 110kmh is damn slow with this car.

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Nov 13 2010, 04:28 PM)
about the ABS sensors..those lancer owners had to change them..not trying to compare, i hv a 2007 idsi honda city, but no such abs sensor problem. rclxub.gif
*
Mine is already 2 years old and never have problem with CVT nor ABS sensor, have to say depends on luck.

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Nov 13 2010, 09:06 PM)
Part are expensive nowadays, and it normal to act funny or spoil after certain years. So be it ABS or gear oil or etc. If it has to be replaced then we dont have a choice, its a part of owing a vehicle. As they say, buying a car is easy but well maintaining it will be difficult.
*
Truely agreed with you on this one.

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Nov 13 2010, 11:05 PM)
yea...i was told that the facelifed lancer's ABS issues have been resolved..anyone can confirm?

QUOTE(tiong @ Nov 13 2010, 11:10 PM)
if u check the sales centre of PE and E

PE
Sales Outlet= 227
Sales Centre = 145

E
Sales Centre=34

Total Sales Outlet/Centre= 406
A total of 406 show room cars are required for each sales outlet/centre.
For test drive, another 406, should be around 812 cars for just sales/marketing purpose if all sales/outlet have 1 test drive car.

If P1 start production on 1 nov, there are only 5 working days before they send out some of those inspira to kuching sat/sun or east coast on monday.

5 x 80 car per day = 400 (not sure whether the production start earlier or not)

So, definitely not enough to send to customer.

If start sending on 20th with same production start date, there's 14 working days.

14 x 80 = 1120 but must send out some for test drive car and need to go through PDI/QA check.. will have different delivery date

based on the news on 25th oct, there's 1500 booking.
Means 10 days except sunday(from 14oct to 25th oct). Average of 150 bookings a day.

1120-812 = 308 cars for customer.

if only 308 cars available for customer, then most likely those who book on 14 and 15 will get the car by 20 something nov onwards.

* the above is a rough estimation on delivery date based on available data from news. Will differs if the p1 policy and production start date and operational days are different.

Added on November 13, 2010, 11:11 pm

if i am not wrong, those ABS issue only happen to the 2007 batch car...new batches no problem.
*
Mine is older version, not facelift one, never have problems with ABS.

My contact just informed me that, for booking placed before 15th November, Proton is offering 3.3% interest rate through Affin Bank and Hong Leong bank, in addition to the 2 years free service.
*
Is this true? I have been getting different interest rates from different places.

As for the Free 2 years service, is it only for 2010 edition or 2011 as well?

The SA in KL told me that it is valid as long as it is before 15th. My dad ask one SA in Penang, and he says it is only for 2010 edition...
