I still prefer hydraulic for it's feedback through the steering wheel. Never liked any electric wheel especially when it comes to handling.

QUOTE(vexus @ Nov 14 2010, 01:01 AM) i test drive inspira today @ COE. The proton handling is ok for comfort driving but not as sharp as gen2. The sound insulation and road noise quite quiet. Engine sound roaring still can hear but not that loud, but louder than forte. The car pick up rather slow. You can't feel the pickup. There is lag when you press the pedal instantly @ gear 1. If you compare to civic/forte, you definitely can feel instant pick up. The audio player is the drawback. The audio quality is terrible and worst than persona/gen2. The 1.8L fabric look cheap for it's class. The aircond switch is total letdown almost identical to city/vios style. No soft glide. The 2.0GT leather is PU leather. It's not real/full leather. PU leather do not last long and surface cool down period is slower than real leather. QUOTE(apache_utara @ Nov 14 2010, 07:51 AM) nice effort there From my exp those below 2.0 engine will feel no power as the car is damn heavy roughly around 1900kg compare to civvies just 1500 kg ... So if wan power and good fc must go for 2.0 anything below ur car going be no power and high fc like Nissan sentrai suspect the "sluggish" pickup is due to the CVT plus ECU didn't really "learn" any aggressive style of driving i may be wrong though.. |

usually hydraulic powered steering gives better and more accurate feedback, while electric powered steering claimed to lower fuel consumption and improve performance.
and electric powered doesn't require maintenance, but pain in the ass (wallet) later to replace if..... |

The Brochure says the kerb weight is 1,300++kg but check out the metal label which is visible when you open the the Driver's door
where you can see the chassis no, it is stated 1,700+kg. Asked the SA but as usual tak tau. My guess is, it is the maximum weight that allowed for the car (eg.Passengers , goods) |

now can view, thanks for sharing. Not sure if Inspira the car alone can do it, but with a skilled driver and practice, maybe it could. Maybe can ask our own alex yoong to try it out.

QUOTE(redbull_y2k @ Nov 14 2010, 02:53 AM) I went for a test drive at COE too. The pickup is not bad but not that spectacular, handling when cornering is very good though. Tried with hard cornering and the car is very stable. Here's a vid i recorded just now. err........ i heard " kon nek panjang " ??? This post has been edited by mosh: Nov 14 2010, 12:18 PM |
