QUOTE(ck3lam @ Oct 28 2010, 09:32 AM) SCB promotion. But as I see the T&C for the cashback eligibility, there are some points to note: - Your acc must be in good standing (as usual) - Any retail transaction from 1-Nov to 30-Nov (posted by the merchant and received by SCB) - Max capped at RM50 (Principle and Sup share the same) - Cashback credited by 30-Dec - Valid for the addressee of this letter only (So maybe it’s not a general promotion, but we will see whether SCB will advertise it at the end of this month or not in their website.) Are you a heavy user of the SCB card ? As for me, I didn't use their SCB card after finishing off my Free cash from them ;-)

This particular line shows that this offer is not for everyone. Are you holding the Platinum or Gold SCB card ?

QUOTE(roy918 @ Oct 28 2010, 01:33 PM) You couldn't do any transaction with OCBC credit card from Dec 16th to Jan 15th or interest will be charged to those transaction since your Dec statement outstanding is not zero. Or you will have to settle all outstanding (including those transaction between Dec 16th to 31st Dec) on or before Dec 31st and not doing any transaction from jan 1st to Jan 15th. Why would I be charged interest for new Retail Transactions from 16 Dec to 31 Dec ?

QUOTE(roy918 @ Oct 28 2010, 01:41 PM) If you are not settle all retail transaction from Dec 16th to Dec 31st, these transaction doesn't entitle to 20 days interest-free period. So, it will be charged interest starting from 1jan 1st to next statement date. The 20-day interest free period is for retail transactions from 15 Nov-15 Dec. Dec 16th-31st transactions would be covered up till 5 Jan 2011 before the interest kicks in.

QUOTE(keith_hjinhoh @ Oct 30 2010, 11:25 PM) Dear fellow members, I have an enquiries to ask, which bothers me for quite sometimes.. I was told since many years ago that using credit card for overseas purchase could be cheaper because of favourable exchange rates. But it seems not to be that case in my recent overseas transactions. Not to mention the extra 1% administrative charges levy by Visa/Mastercard. If I were to buy from money changer USD to RM : 3.095 - 3.10 My transactions using credit card: USD to RM : (RM19.12 = $6.00 which work out to be 3.18) That's about 3% premium that I have to pay! That may be a small amount, but if the amount is huge, the difference is significant... Is there any person have a completely different experience compared to mine? Care to share which CC was used for the purchase. IMO, I find that MBB's CC has lower forex rate than money changer's rate

QUOTE(winner @ Nov 8 2010, 02:36 PM) SCB won't extend this promotion to JustOne customers. I was told that the invitation was sent to those new customers who refused to use their cards after receiving the cash as welcome gift for quite some time. That's me... I used their FREE RM200 and no longer using the SCB card..why don't I get selected?
