So any advice or recommendation on Rim upgrade?
For Teana 2.0L the stock rim is 16", there shouldn't be any problem if change to 17" because the 3.5L stock rim is 17".
But it's kind of pointless if upgrade to a sport rim with just 1" bigger. I think should at least 18" or 19", but i would like to found out the comfort after the upgrade. It's ok if i just change the rim and remain the stock suspension and spring?
I bought the car for comfort, if the upgrade i make will cause the ride uncomfortable then i will kenal from my wife haha...

Haha... biggrin.gif bro lui, i think u will sacrifice ur comfort oh if u upgrade to 18 inch and above...the most comfortable one are 16 or 17 inch..
There are no perfect match in terms of comfort and stability together...

If u want to maintain ur teana comfort and at the same time to have nicer outlook with a little better road grib.. I think 17 will suit u most..
If u still insist on 18 inch and above, ur tyre must use good quality wan such as michelin or yokohama or etc. As long as i know, each 18 inch michelin tyre cost rm 900 and above. Somemore, for bigger rim u oso need to use very high qualty wan and dun use taiwan or local made, which will easily bengkok...

Thx Webboy. I believe we need to find out how much comfort has been take out if we upgraded to 18" or 19". It's really depend we can take it or not because the comfort feeling is very subjective to everyone haha...
That's why we need to have a TT session with the other Teana J32 owner. Check out their upgrades =)

At the moment, i will stay with the stock rims. Although i found out the new stock rim got a very high trade (RM1500) in value at Rawang.

I just call Mr. Chong from Sierra Glow to ask for appointment and price. The next available slot is 1st Nov, and it will cost us RM790 and 6 hours to coat our car.

Bro MeToo, thx for the advice. Can i know RM1300 is for which brand and model you use for your 19"?
Can you give us some comment on your 19" Rim & Tyre? If the comfort on the stock rim and tyre are 100 marks full point, then how much is your 19" rim & tyre score?

thx.

Ehh how come? Rm 110 for 560 km only? I tot the 2.0 teana is sharing the same engine as sylphy.. The sylphy is already well known for its good fc... I think is due to the weight of the teana is heavier as compare to sylphy..
*
this car more heavy than sylphy lor.. if get over 500 per tank also ok liao..

if town use then full tank 550+ is normal for the 2L

the other day go KL klg x 3 days and one time go seremban back, the full tank range went to 700 , still got some km till zero.. brows.gif

Hi Guys,

I am contemplating whether to buy a Teana or Sonata? I really like  Teana, in terms of engine, performance, quietness, it certainly has more oommpph compare to Sonata. But I do not like the colour of the interior. Beige colour is really hard to maintain. I can imagine myself wiping off the stains every single day.

How do you guys live with it? This is a major decision for me. Your comments would be appreciated.

Added on October 17, 2011, 3:01 pmI also read from somewhere that the fuel consumption for Teana is relatively high too. Please correct me if I am wrong. How many KM per litre? Please share.
*
which one you comparing? 2L or 2.5/2.4 teana/sonata ?

This thread is becoming livelier than before. smile.gif Anyway, I had finally decided to opt for Teana instead of Sonata. It was a tough decision but being a typical Malaysian, I would rather opt for a Japanese instead of Korean made car. In addition to that, Teana is certainly a WINNER when it comes to comfort, engine responsiveness etc. Setback is the beige colour interior which could get stained easily. But I am trying to be positive about it, if dirty, send to car detailing shop to clean the interior lor. Hehe. AR188 - 700km for full tank is it? How much is the full tank? 70L x RM1.90 = RM133 is it? Thanks!

2l travel back from JB to kl, speed about 180-200kmh. Full only. Cover 550km . My friend mention that teana is much more comfortable than his Camry 2.4.

What a coincident, i just went to the VW showroom at TTDI. My 1st impression.
Exterior: New Passat is just like a bigger version of Jetta.
Interior: The back seat legroom are good, but in fact I feel very pack when 3 of us sitting at the back row.

There is a screen at the middle console but i dont know what it supporting. The stuff i like the most about the new Passat is the 17" rim, very nice and sporty. Overall, the built quality of the VW was really good.

wah, your teana must have good resale value since low mileage when you want to sell it at the end of the day

Bro buxxthrill,
Actually, when you 1st ask this question i was thinking to tell you this tongue.gif
In fact, black color interior are getting more and more common. All the B-Segment & C-Segment cars are mainly dark interior. So, when I getting a D-Segment luxury car, i want something special and elegant. I found Beige and brown leather interior giving me a luxury feel haha...
Hope, my commend can make you feel better on choosing Teana brows.gif regarding the maintenance i will suggest you to take the leather instead of fabric. So in the future, when your kids spread something drink or ice dream on the seat and you still manage to clean it easily. That's what I am thinking.

Pls dont shoot me about my opinion above, I'm not saying dark/black interior not nice. I just sharing my thinking to the ppl who having hard time to decide the light color interior. Cheers.
