This thread is becoming livelier than before. smile.gif Anyway, I had finally decided to opt for Teana instead of Sonata. It was a tough decision but being a typical Malaysian, I would rather opt for a Japanese instead of Korean made car. In addition to that, Teana is certainly a WINNER when it comes to comfort, engine responsiveness etc. Setback is the beige colour interior which could get stained easily. But I am trying to be positive about it, if dirty, send to car detailing shop to clean the interior lor. Hehe. AR188 - 700km for full tank is it? How much is the full tank? 70L x RM1.90 = RM133 is it? Thanks!

Welcome..bruxxthrill to teana family.. rclxms.gif

Interior wit beige color is hard to maintain but it is very nice and have more prestigious look from outside...

Yeah, if dirty oledi just sent it to car spa.... biggrin.gif

Normally, when i almost reach empty tank which the on board display shows around 47 km left... I will pump in the petrol by letting it to stop automatically which is around rm 110..

Bro buxxthrill,
Actually, when you 1st ask this question i was thinking to tell you this  tongue.gif
In fact, black color interior are getting more and more common. All the B-Segment & C-Segment cars are mainly dark interior. So, when I getting a D-Segment luxury car, i want something special and elegant. I found Beige and brown leather interior giving me a luxury feel haha...
Hope, my commend can make you feel better on choosing Teana  brows.gif regarding the maintenance i will suggest you to take the leather instead of fabric. So in the future, when your kids spread something drink or ice dream on the seat and you still manage to clean it easily. That's what I am thinking.

Pls dont shoot me about my opinion above, I'm not saying dark/black interior not nice. I just sharing my thinking to the ppl who having hard time to decide the light color interior. Cheers.

Bro Lui,

I have to agree with you somehow. Black is very common. In fact, my current car comes with black / grey interior colour but after 3 years driving it, it still look very new. Even the used car dealer also was a bit shocked when he saw the condition of my car. Good purchase for him. I am on the losing end. Sigh.

Beige or brown is not so common, kinda' special, elegant - yes and it somehow makes the interior more spacious compare to black interior. So hell to it, beige it is!

However, some of my friends said the car look uncle-ish. I am 32 this year, look young on the outside; hope to also look the same (preferably younger) when driving a Teana. Haha. But I don't really bother their feedback since I chose Teana for its comfort (I love driving), not for racing whatsoever.

When r u getting your car anyway? I am getting mine end of next week.

Bro Ar888,

Leather strap steering? The 2.0 version does not come with leather strap steering. Did you do it on your own?

I was contemplating between Silver & Blue-Grey colour. Finally, I went for Silver - a bit safe but it make the car look larger. My 10 cent opinion. smile.gif

yup light color larger, black color smaller..

also if the curves are there then light color will accentuate it more

similarly if the curves are not so nice or very plain or looks outdated like those old german saloons, then dark or black will be more suited..

Yeah, however, the chrome grill at the front and side may not be so visible as darker colour. I assume yours is silver too. smile.gif

I have another concern. I booked the comfort version and added rm2k for leather upholstery, quoted by the SA. My concern is whether the leather is actually full leather or half leather upholstery. Half leather means that the areas which are touching our body would be full leather whereas those which are not (i.e. side of the seats) would be PVC. What do you think? Do you think he would cheat? Some SA could be tricky at times, mine has a look of one (hopefully I'm wrong).

Welcome to the Teana family.

The luxury version also do not have full leather. It's half leather and half pvc like what you describe. It's only a slight difference in terms of pricing between the comfort and luxury. Why picked the comfort?

I'm 29 this year, so let us make the J32 a younger car instead of Uncle's car tongue.gif
The SA said hopefully on the Wed or Thur, but i ask for Depavali because i'm off that day. And i can test my car on the empty KL street.
When and where did you place your order, bro?

Bro ar188, I like VIP style on a D-Segment bulky cars too.
Did you lowered your car with your 19" rim? If not, will the J32 looks tall with the 19" rim with stock rims?

Thanks bro. smile.gif I chose Comfort as i didnt want to have the front sensor. It can get pretty annoying at times, i mean the sound of it. And now, since i found it is half leather, i will collect back RM2K from the SA to get the interior upholstered with DK full leather at a special price instead.

I didn't use the front sensor and scratch the bottom front bumper twice. "Sakit hati" for a few days. Also, I parked under the mango tree and the fruit juice drip and left a stain on the bonnet. Another "sakit hati". Tried to polish off but unsuccessful.

Sometimes when going over potholes the bumps are very hard, like metal against metal. Anyone have the same experience?

Unfortunately no, wasn't aware of this when I took the car. Also don't know it is available in JB. If not, may have to drive to KL to do.
