Bro, which brand of 19 inc sport rim u are using?

How much for the rim and oso the tyre?
mine is japan sport rim 5 double spoke type, but not the highest priced ones (mid range).
better check and mount the rim before you get it cos it depends on rim width like 8j or 8.5j and offset (how much it pokes out of the fenders) after it look like the modified mk1 VW beetle tire sticking out.. laugh.gif

tire size, I'm using 225/40 19 front and rear 245/35/19 toyos (using this temporarily as its my spare donuts from my RX8) but when i changed the rear later, i will get 235/40/19 as i feel this is the optimum size but dem hard to get this size.

the effect is dem cool, when go SC, all the technicians come to see.. biggrin.gif rclxms.gif

Sound good Webboy, if i not mistaken the upgrade from ETCM is RM2350 also. Do you mean your SA FOC the Coating for you?
So how you find the coating works on your Solid White Teana? Have you found any rain marks or dirt stains on you car?
*
if you didnt take this coating, not too late, can send your car to usj1 sierra glow, mr choong. dem cheap prices.. (definitely below 1k) biggrin.gif
my akod 2.4 is white.. it really helps.. and recently i recommended my fren white sonata to do it also.. drive few days in rain, still no grey/dark streaks when viewed from a distance (usually can see spotty dirt marks if didn't wash 2-3days later).. biggrin.gif

In terms of comfortability, how will it perform as to compare to the stock tyre?

So I heard Nissan is gonna stop production of Teana next year, accounding to paultan.org. So will it affect anything? Like spare part or something. Was thinking of buying one..

Bro ar188, mind to share what is the offset of your sport rim?
So are you recommend if we going to get a sport rim for our Teana, we should get the 8j or 8.5j offset?

This is one cool piece of information. I heard my SA talk about this affordable shop at USJ, because one of his customer's Livina also did the coating there with less than 1K. So i thinking to search around for info, and who knows you already mentioning here.
Will definitely send the car to coat at the shop.

If you read carefully, the article said Teana will stop production at Japan only. Due to the demand and Japanese high raising YEN. I read it wrong the 1st time also, while i doing research on Teana i read it second time.
The production line outside of Japan will be maintain. And Japanese's order of Teana will be import from Oversea, maybe China tongue.gif

Hi Guys,

I am contemplating whether to buy a Teana or Sonata? I really like Teana, in terms of engine, performance, quietness, it certainly has more oommpph compare to Sonata. But I do not like the colour of the interior. Beige colour is really hard to maintain. I can imagine myself wiping off the stains every single day.

How do you guys live with it? This is a major decision for me. Your comments would be appreciated.

Added on October 17, 2011, 3:01 pmI also read from somewhere that the fuel consumption for Teana is relatively high too. Please correct me if I am wrong. How many KM per litre? Please share.

You are in the Teana thread. What answers do you expect if you compare it with the i45 tongue.gif

On quietness, mine is getting noiser by the day. As for fuel consumption, my 2 litre is RM110.00 for 560km.

Read from page one and you will find the pros and cons of this car.

Thanks for the comment. Noisier by the day - sound scary to me. I expect it to be better. And in fact, it is one of the main reasons why I like Teana so much. The consumption is indeed quite high, around RM0.20/litre.

Sigh, not easy when it comes to choosing a D-Segment car.

Placed my order at OUG Nissan yesterday, because i got the best trade in offer from here compare to PJ, Pandan Indah & Puchong. Going for the 2.0L Luxury, solid white.
Just went to Padang Jawa's JPJ to get a new number, but quite sad that BLL just released this morning and all my preferred number already "habis"...
The notice board was totally not in sync with the system, I selected 5 preferred number and the officer just say finish. Then i ask her whether can I have a look at your screen to check the latest list but she said cannot. Then how are you expect us to do?
So i started to suspect a lot of nice number has been booked by the runners, although they have not came to the queue yet. No wonder all those runners will charge RM100 more for their service, maybe some of them need to pay to the officer.
Lesson learn, just pay the runner to do it for you. And list down at least 10 numbers you preferred to the runner.

Congrats Lui. Welcome on board. This JPJ thing is like that. You should have asked the Nissan Salesman to book the number for you. They should have the contacts. But for me, I went to JPJ myself. The form says you are allowed only 3 prefered numbers but all three I picked also not available. The clerk showed me the monitor. I picked 2 or 3 more sets and finally opted for one and paid RM210.00. Number not yet come out top but did came out "horse poo" one week before I took the number.

So, how much did you pay for the number and when will you be getting your dream car?

My BIL got his i45 two months before I booked my Teana. I too had a hard time deciding which brand to buy, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan or Hyundai though Peugeot was far behind. Tested all except Mazda and Peogeot. All models have pros and cons. None will fit exactly your bill unless youi built your own. Fuel consumption should not be an issue if you use the car to "cari makan". For other defects, you will get used to it

Thx for the warm welcome Bro nok88.
Yeah, lesson learned this time. My origin thinking is to go to JPJ myself and wife to choose a nice number, because we know the Selangor side will release the BLL number plate today. Once we arrived, we was so so happy because there are a lot of superb number still available on the notice board. Especially those with 8 or 3, we was so excited and go in to queue up, who know we are 15 min late it's their lunch time till 2pm. Then things happen as my previous post sad.gif
So for those who going to get a new car, it's really worth to pay extra 100 to a runner to get the number for you. End up I just pay the RM210 for a 3 digit number, it's just a normal number but it's the anniversary of my wife & I wub.gif

My SA told me the car will be ready for collection no later than 3 weeks. But he will do the best to deliver to me by this month, because he want it as his Oct sales instead of Nov. Besides, I'm still driving the trade in car. Touch wood if anything happen to the car then TC will have to bear the loss.

So any advice from all the Bros here, what should i do when i 1st collect the car?
This is my 1st D-segment car, i bought it for comfort to fetch my family. So i don't think i will change to sports rim at the moment, not sure in the future tongue.gif Bigger rim in black/Grey color on the white Teana really awesome though... Will definitely send the car to coating at USJ as recommend by one of the sifu here.

Ehh how come? Rm 110 for 560 km only? I tot the 2.0 teana is sharing the same engine as sylphy.. The sylphy is already well known for its good fc... I think is due to the weight of the teana is heavier as compare to sylphy..

The family is getting bigger and bigger.

My previous car before this also 3 digits. A bit headache when the numbers came out with these 3 digits. Hard to convince ppl that we didn't kena.

As for the FC, mostly town driving. Guess that's one of the reason together with your input on weight.

Will definitely ask a lot of question here, as I can't find a Teana Club forum in Malaysia. The Teana Club at FB is so quiet, I believe most of the ppl who bought the car are quite senior that they will not online to share their cars. BTW, the Thai Teana Club is awesome, so many members and pictures but to bad i dont know Thai tongue.gif

Can i know why you have to pay RM490 for the number? Was that a tender number? Or the extra is to pay to the runner? Cause normally to buy a number from JPJ is either RM210 or RM310.

Yalor, the teana club at fb is soo quiet and i oso cannot find any malaysia teana club. I hope this forum can help me to share and discuss some issue or defects about the car...

Oh..initially the SA ask me that whether i want to have just running number or not which is just only rm 210....
But, my wife told me to get my lucky number.... So initially, i just gave him 5 number...but he said is hard to get that kind of number... Then i gave him another 7 number so total up to > 10 number... Then he said the chances will b higher lor...

I not sure whether the number is a tender number or not coz i havent been to jpj to buy number just like u guys do...
The SA told me that if i wanna choose number, the process of getting it is very long and he said i need to wait at the jpj at least half a day...and he just advice me to let runner do this kind of job coz this runner depends on this kind of job to survive. They have more contact and strong relationship with the inner jpj staff...

I do not know there is a price of rm 310 as u mention above. I just know the price either is rm 210 and rm 480 and above..

This JPJ is bullshit. They never go and update the board so you think you saw your favourite number on the list but when you ask at the counter, it is sold. So you "tikam" and give maximum 3 sets of numbers. You lucky, you get the number which may not be the number you like best cos you can't choose from what is available.

We are now in the IT age and they still use this old method. Probably for some "people" to make money.

Sometime depend on luck. I still got my plate number 83 via tender rm800. The reason I took 8884 is because the meaning. 'Rich till death'. Lol. Only choose one time. Happy hunting for your number.

Webboy, you did the right choice. Just pay the Runner to do it and you will get higher chance to get your preferable number.
When i am at the JPJ Padang Jaya on Monday, i saw the notice board has a small group of number left over from past. If you want those number, it's going to charge you RM310 and i saw BLK 4848 still available tongue.gif

That's what i told my wife also... They getting RM210 for a number, it's so easy for them to get few LCD screen and link them with the system and display up to date numbers available.
Pawang Jawa still using notice board and A3 paper, then waiting for a staff to mark off those sold number with red color. I not sure others JPJ office is using the same method or not.

And i think you are right, probably for someone to make money mad.gif
