Yeah, there is the difference. Mine no Navi and I think webboy's too. If that's the case, better check with Nissan. I am waiting for this : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1799613
*
Bro, mine got navi cause i bougth the car with the aerokit and navi package. So far that navi is quite good. Before that i used to have garmin gps but i dont like it cause it failed on some of the directions that i wish to go. I guess maybe i didn update the garmin map gua...

On the third day i took the teana, i straight went to many places Melaka, Seremban, Klang and Port Dickson coz wanted to hit 1000 km so that i can service it first before i balik kampung at penang. That teana navi didnt failed me once for most of the places that i wish to go such as those favourite makan place at melaka and penang. So far, i am quite happy and satisfied with that navi so i still didn plan to change it to other brand yet...

The only thing i am planning to change/upgrade for my teana now is the existing vkool tinted film and the 16 inch rim.

I also plan to change the stock rim too, any recommendations?
*
Hahhaha, bro, i m still searching that.

I heard many friends say the tyre shop at jalan kapar klang is very famous and the price is not too expensive.

They said in the market got rims made from japan, taiwan and local malaysia made. The most expensive one is from japan which is the lighest and strongest. But the price will easily cost more than 10 k above. I m planning to change to the max 18 inch coz it is still within my budget. More than 18 inch above, i cannot tahan liao sad.gif . Coz the tyre is much more expensive.

I think i will try rims from taiwan coz is cheaper. Around 2.5 to 5 k.

Bro, when u go to look for rims, pls becareful of immitation and fake rims...

I want to buy the rims in the pic, but dunno where can get it...

I feel once or two time of feeling not smooth when driving very slowly. I tot only i feel that, but my wife oso feel that oso..
But that choking feeling is not permanent. Which means, i drive 10 times, got 1 to 2 time will feel like that.

Hi Webboy, can i know what happen to the VKool tint? Was yours come along with ETCM? The VKool Elite?

I planning to get a 2.0L Luxury soon before the Navi & Bodykit package expire. Actually, i thinking to get a Security Tint for the car but if i get the Luxury version it will come with the VKool Elite Tinting from ETCM. I thinking to ask the Salesman to not include the tint or help me to upgrade to Security Tint instead.

To all Tai Kor here, any advice for me?
Thank you.
*
Bro, yes, mine got vkool + aerokit + navi in the package.

Actualy nothing wrong with the vkool. The existing one given by nissan quite good oso. Can filter heat quite fast. Just that feel wan to upgrade to a better one. You know lar, nowadays the wheather is crazy hot. coz mine is a leather seat so just wish to protect the leather seat longer.

As whether the vkool is elite version or not, then i not so sure..i heard the salesman told me that the vkool just cost only rm 1k. Afte minus commission for the salesman and the branch manager, i think the csot just few hundred bucks only. So u can imagine how good is it for the tinted film with that price...

Hi All, anyone of you get the Ultra Glass Body Coating from Tan Chong when you purchase your Teana?
I think to get the Solid white color, but as you all know solid white paint will get marks and stains easily if you dont take care it properly.
So i was thinking, will the Ultra Glass Body Coating help the Solid White paint to prevent dirt/water marks and stains?
If yes, is it worth to get it from TC or get it from outside after collected the car?
thanks in advance for the advice =) 1st time getting a D-Segment car, very excited.
*
Hi lui, on the second day i get my car, i straight go to do coating. But mine is not Ultra Glass Body coating. The nissan branch manager recommend their panel which is 3 rd concept. So without thinking further i just accept it coz they said is their panel, so i think they would not cheat me gua. If really cheat me, sure i will complain kaw kaw to their nissan hq. Somemore, in the market there are lot of coating and not all are original and sometimes i oso cannot differentiate between ori or fake.

The cost for the coating is rm 2350. I did it at puchong branch 3rd concept, just before IOI Mall and behind Chevrolet showroom.

They said, after did the coating, no need to polish and wax anymore and they give 5 years warranty. And oso no need to send to them for coating maintenance

Sound good Webboy, if i not mistaken the upgrade from ETCM is RM2350 also. Do you mean your SA FOC the Coating for you?
So how you find the coating works on your Solid White Teana? Have you found any rain marks or dirt stains on you car?
*
Hahha..i really hope tan chong will give foc ler, but unfortunately is not ler... Need to fork out that extra cash for it ler.... sad.gif

So far, after 3 rd weeks is ok, if everyday rain, it will oso leave rain marks one but not so obvious which mean better than din do coating lor...
For the first 2 week after did coating, they said cannot use shampoo to wash so i just use normal water to wash the car only.
Now its already pass 2 nd week, so each time i wash it using car shampoo, all those dirty rain marks that normaly u wil see dripping down especially the door handle will easily clean off...

Very shining after each time of washing the car...and i did one round of checking on the whole car body... I cant find even one dirty spot... If got, i just use a damp cloth and wipe it harder and the dirty spot will gone...

Well, what i can say about coating is that, it can save me on the future polish and wax lor...

mine is japan sport rim 5 double spoke type, but not the highest priced ones (mid range).
better check and mount the rim before you get it cos it depends on rim width like 8j or 8.5j and offset (how much it pokes out of the fenders) after it look like the modified mk1 VW beetle tire sticking out..  laugh.gif

tire size, I'm using 225/40 19 front and rear 245/35/19 toyos (using this temporarily as its my spare donuts from my RX8) but when i changed the rear later, i will get 235/40/19 as i feel this is the optimum size but dem hard to get this size.

the effect is dem cool, when go SC, all the technicians come to see..  biggrin.gif  rclxms.gif

if you didnt take this coating, not too late, can send your car to usj1 sierra glow, mr choong. dem cheap prices.. (definitely below 1k)  biggrin.gif
my akod 2.4 is white.. it really helps..  and recently i recommended my fren white sonata to do it also.. drive few days in rain, still no grey/dark streaks when viewed from a distance (usually can see spotty dirt marks if didn't wash 2-3days later)..  biggrin.gif

In terms of comfortability, how will it perform as to compare to the stock tyre?

Thx for the warm welcome Bro nok88.
Yeah, lesson learned this time. My origin thinking is to go to JPJ myself and wife to choose a nice number, because we know the Selangor side will release the BLL number plate today. Once we arrived, we was so so happy because there are a lot of superb number still available on the notice board. Especially those with 8 or 3, we was so excited and go in to queue up, who know we are 15 min late it's their lunch time till 2pm. Then things happen as my previous post  sad.gif
So for those who going to get a new car, it's really worth to pay extra 100 to a runner to get the number for you. End up I just pay the RM210 for a 3 digit number, it's just a normal number but it's the anniversary of my wife & I  wub.gif

My SA told me the car will be ready for collection no later than 3 weeks. But he will do the best to deliver to me by this month, because he want it as his Oct sales instead of Nov. Besides, I'm still driving the trade in car. Touch wood if anything happen to the car then TC will have to bear the loss.

So any advice from all the Bros here, what should i do when i 1st collect the car?
This is my 1st D-segment car, i bought it for comfort to fetch my family. So i don't think i will change to sports rim at the moment, not sure in the future  tongue.gif Bigger rim in black/Grey color on the white Teana really awesome though... Will definitely send the car to coating at USJ as recommend by one of the sifu here.
*
Yo, lui, welcome welcome...to teana family...
In future lets share pros and cons about the car...

Last time, i listed out more than 10 numbers to the SA. All are 3 digits...
Finally i got the 2nd number out of that list.....very very happy with that number...
The prIce i paid to the SA is rm 490....

You are in the Teana thread. What answers do you expect if you compare it with the i45  tongue.gif

On quietness, mine is getting noiser by the day. As for fuel consumption, my 2 litre is RM110.00 for 560km.

Read from page one and you will find the pros and cons of this car.
*
Ehh how come? Rm 110 for 560 km only? I tot the 2.0 teana is sharing the same engine as sylphy.. The sylphy is already well known for its good fc... I think is due to the weight of the teana is heavier as compare to sylphy..

Bro webboy, thx for your warm welcome =)
Will definitely ask a lot of question here, as I can't find a Teana Club forum in Malaysia. The Teana Club at FB is so quiet, I believe most of the ppl who bought the car are quite senior that they will not online to share their cars. BTW, the Thai Teana Club is awesome, so many members and pictures but to bad i dont know Thai  tongue.gif

Can i know why you have to pay RM490 for the number? Was that a tender number? Or the extra is to pay to the runner? Cause normally to buy a number from JPJ is either RM210 or RM310.
*
Yalor, the teana club at fb is soo quiet and i oso cannot find any malaysia teana club. I hope this forum can help me to share and discuss some issue or defects about the car...

Oh..initially the SA ask me that whether i want to have just running number or not which is just only rm 210....
But, my wife told me to get my lucky number.... So initially, i just gave him 5 number...but he said is hard to get that kind of number... Then i gave him another 7 number so total up to > 10 number... Then he said the chances will b higher lor...

I not sure whether the number is a tender number or not coz i havent been to jpj to buy number just like u guys do...
The SA told me that if i wanna choose number, the process of getting it is very long and he said i need to wait at the jpj at least half a day...and he just advice me to let runner do this kind of job coz this runner depends on this kind of job to survive. They have more contact and strong relationship with the inner jpj staff...

I do not know there is a price of rm 310 as u mention above. I just know the price either is rm 210 and rm 480 and above..

So any advice or recommendation on Rim upgrade?
For Teana 2.0L the stock rim is 16", there shouldn't be any problem if change to 17" because the 3.5L stock rim is 17".
But it's kind of pointless if upgrade to a sport rim with just 1" bigger. I think should at least 18" or 19", but i would like to found out the comfort after the upgrade. It's ok if i just change the rim and remain the stock suspension and spring?
I bought the car for comfort, if the upgrade i make will cause the ride uncomfortable then i will kenal from my wife haha...
*
Haha... biggrin.gif bro lui, i think u will sacrifice ur comfort oh if u upgrade to 18 inch and above...the most comfortable one are 16 or 17 inch..
There are no perfect match in terms of comfort and stability together...

If u want to maintain ur teana comfort and at the same time to have nicer outlook with a little better road grib.. I think 17 will suit u most..
If u still insist on 18 inch and above, ur tyre must use good quality wan such as michelin or yokohama or etc. As long as i know, each 18 inch michelin tyre cost rm 900 and above. Somemore, for bigger rim u oso need to use very high qualty wan and dun use taiwan or local made, which will easily bengkok...

This thread is becoming livelier than before. smile.gif Anyway, I had finally decided to opt for Teana instead of Sonata. It was a tough decision but being a typical Malaysian, I would rather opt for a Japanese instead of Korean made car. In addition to that, Teana is certainly a WINNER when it comes to comfort, engine responsiveness etc. Setback is the beige colour interior which could get stained easily. But I am trying to be positive about it, if dirty, send to car detailing shop to clean the interior lor. Hehe. AR188 - 700km for full tank is it? How much is the full tank? 70L x RM1.90 = RM133 is it? Thanks!
*
Welcome..bruxxthrill to teana family.. rclxms.gif

Interior wit beige color is hard to maintain but it is very nice and have more prestigious look from outside...

Yeah, if dirty oledi just sent it to car spa.... biggrin.gif

Normally, when i almost reach empty tank which the on board display shows around 47 km left... I will pump in the petrol by letting it to stop automatically which is around rm 110..

I have another concern. I booked the comfort version and added rm2k for leather upholstery, quoted by the SA. My concern is whether the leather is actually full leather or half leather upholstery. Half leather means that the areas which are touching our body would be full leather whereas those which are not (i.e. side of the seats) would be PVC. What do you think? Do you think he would cheat? Some SA could be tricky at times, mine has a look of one (hopefully I'm wrong).

Added on October 22, 2011, 8:59 am

Yea am going for darker tint for sure. wink.gif
*
Yeah, the leather is not a full leather. Some part of it are pvc. This is what the SA told me
