I still dont have the chances to buy outright and get the iPhone 4 from Maxis for the promo price RM2290.

End up buying from forumer at LYN garage sales for RM2450.

Sigh, in the end at Maxis it's all about the postpaid plan not the phone. Give up already smile.gif

just got my ip4 today! after so long!!!!!

after reading post here, i went to KLCC this morning, arrive around 7.50am, and there's already like 20person in queue! so i queue at the entrance beside G.Armani

at around 8.20AM, i saw some maxis stuff went over that door, saw it locked and then walk away.

i then ask my gf to follow him, and then she told me she already able to enter from the main entrance, and currently in queue no.2 !!

whao?! i still stand there until they open the door, and i saw she already holding the number given by the maxis staff!! yay and i know i will definitely able to get it today.

at around 8.35am, the door open, give them my name and my IC, and at around 9.30am, i pay up and walk back with my ip4!

now charging, and downloading itunes LOL

Tried asking many Maxis stall all said no stock, leave down name and wait and come line up on that day. Actually they do have stock in HQ, but it's not for normal walk-in. Thanks to my good friend, I got the iph4 within a day without waiting or lining up smile.gif

this is a bit off topic but when you guys signed up for the maxis plan were you given a microsim card straight up? when i got my phone last friday, the authorised maxis dealer had to cut the sim card. is this the norm?

If you're using postpaid, they change your sim and give new micro-sim. But if you're using prepaid, then they cut the sim.

It doesn't matter you sign up for a plan or you buy outright. Only postpaid got micro-sim.

They shouldn't actually, because when I bought mine I was have 2 sims, prepaid and pospaid.

I bout the phone outright on my prepaid line but I told the stuff I want to use my postpaid in the phone,
then he took my phone number and brought new micro-sim.

BTW that was on the launch day..

He just said , call 123 from your mobile. No they don't accept booking, none of the Maxis store does, some will just take down your name n contact then call u if there's stock but chances of calling u back is like 0. You'll have to go to the store to line up in the morning. Unless u know someone from Maxis HQ ....

It is the same thing mirosim and the normal sim, just the size~ as long as it works, doesnt really matter! By the time it becomes mainstream, the whole street will be full of microsim

already been playing with this toy for 2 weeks now..

one fine night, i just called maxis 123, talked to operator, asked whether still got stock, offer me to foward to relevent department, said im interested, took my details, say within 2 working day maxis will call back
next day morning, maxis staff call me, give me appointment to collect phone at klsentral in 2 days time..

no need to queue, no need to rush, save time n money.. =)

when i got my phone, the staff the asked me whether i wanna cut my sim or get a new micro sim, said give me new..

im a postpaid user btw, and that call is the 2nd call ive made which turns out to be successful.

why not all postpaid user try calling 123 again, dont choose the iphone4 menu, instead choose to talk to the customer service..
the first one which i choose the ip4 menu, they say they did not accept bookings.. huhu..

just sharing..

You're right, thanks! I called CS before and chose the IP4 and that's exactly what they said, no bookings can be made over the phone. Should have spoken to the normal CS instead.

Hi just to update you guys on my process of getting my iPhone 16GB from Maxis smile.gif

So initially last week I went to MC TTDI, apparently they ran out of stock for the 16GB models..its quite a common sight I think after reading the posts in this thread. Anyway I just pop the question to them if they sell outright, they said they do. So that's just some info for you guys out there.

Anyway after my attempt at MC TTDI I decided to call 123 to book for appointment after many advices here. Called up, booked a 16gb unit and they called me back within the same day to arrange an appointment at the end of the week. Collected on Friday last week with iValue 1 package.

I'm now a happy Maxis customer and enjoying my iPhone biggrin.gif
