a silly question, instead of Q-ing up, can i just make a booking and collect when they have stock?

managed to get 2 x 16gb ip4 today @ KLCC MC. reached around 7:40am, numbered 21 & 22. only first 10 customers in the Q able to get the phone on the spot. the rest will be called to collect (on the safe side, they said after 3pm). i left KLCC around 10:30am, 10:35am they called me to collect at 11am. wut the... !@#$%^&*

not free to collect at 11am. went back around 3pm and waited for another hour (yeah, they are SLOW!!). was told only 40 units are available, not 50 units as most forumers claimed. perhaps, they do have extra 10 units for those special cases, but walk-in it's only 40 units.

tips to purchase from KLCC MC:
1. be there before 8am (yes, i meant it!)

2. queue ONLY near 'Coach' shop, you won't miss the crowd (except if you are the 1st person to arrive)
**apparently there were three customers Q-ed at the wrong entrance, and they were not entitled to get any. i was told one of them reached as early as 7:30am. well, the maxis guy wanted to give the three of them a number, but objection from the crowd.. so... sorry abt your story.

3. if u can wait, go elsewhere for your bfast, lunch, whatever, chances are maxis will have more counters to process the collection in the morning so you 'may' get it earlier than 3pm.

waited from 7:40am till door opened around 8:40am, an hour, not so bad i supposed. i'm not sure about the crowd for the weekdays, but i'm sure you wanna be on the safe side, so, be there before 7:30am.

if you are the first ten in the list, you will get it immediately. the rest will have to come back at a later time. i was number 22nd and i received call at 10:45am klcc mc open until 9pm. if you can't make it for the time specified by the maxis staff, then, you have every rights to re-arrange another time slot, even for tomorrow (best to be within the same day).

yes, 40 units, be there by 7:30am, the earlier the better.

now who's that person that trying to be more clever than those already getting it? now that we are more than happy to tell you: "you are welcome to go and try in person, and the hotline staff will reserve a phone for you without a contract." don't simply use nasty word simply because it's your habit.

same situation for me as a postpaid user. but then, so long as it's working fine, who cares.
