@ kellefe are you trying to be clever? Both carriers are not selling outright. you're welcome to go and try in person, but the hotline staff will not reserve a phone for you without a contract.

Maxis says in the flyers that they do sell outright, and I think some ppl actually did manage to buy a contractless iphone from maxis. But due to limited stock, they aren't encouraging you to do that... |

QUOTE(kellefe @ Dec 14 2010, 04:47 PM) i was told that the bookings via 123 is only applicable to postpaid users..the outright purchases is through hotlink iphone plan.. which is u buy the phone at rrp price, and get 12 month 500mb free data if u maintain the hotlink number for 1 year.. another option is to subscribe to idata1 option, but it falls under no contract, which is u can terminate later..but still, u have to be existing value plus principal line to do that... that was what i found out on my visit to sunway piramid maxis centre last night.. just stop by to ask any iphone stock available, ask me whether im a current postpaid user, said yes and she asked me to do bookings via 123, and explain those above after i asked.. btw, was also told that ivalue plan is a new plan, and did not have all those international roaming, IDD, etc bundled with like value plus package.. only for local user which was stated here in the plan tnc, 2. The minutes of usage included in iValue Plans applies to on-net and off-net domestic voice calls only. 3. Data included in iValue Plans applies to local mobile Internet usage only and excludes SMS, MMS, and other subscription based services. The maximum charge for local usage is up to RM250. Charges of RM0.05/10KB will apply While roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges will apply. if wanna go oversea, or idd or sms oversea, better just buy idata, because it will keep what existing value plus have.. this is what i was told after i ask.. others can clarify.. just sharing my part.. Yes outright is available for existing maxis customer. Collected my iPhone yesterday at Plaza Sentral (their so-called iPhone depot), plenty of stocks there but only by appointment via 123. However the collection counter will only be opened till end of this month, so if you don't want to queue up and looking for stocks later I suggest you make your appointment now.

Yes, I've got 4 x iP4 purchased outright too. 2 x 32GB and 2 x 16GB at KLCC. As long as you are an existing maxis customer, you are entitled to purchase it outright. Cheers!

Does my English so bad that you can't understand the meaning? |
