I bought first one last month under my primary ivalue I'm getting a 2nd one for my supp line under idata. I called 123, when got thru they'll say press 1 for iPhone, don't do that, press 3 to speak to the consultant then ask about arrangement to buy. They told me within 2 working days someone will call me back to arrange. Following day (which is today) they called back under "Blocked" number and told me earliest slot available is Tuesday. I asked them, they say can buy with contract or outright also. But must be existing Maxis customer only. Hope this helps.

Edit: In fact when I got my first unit in MC TTDI, they did allow outright. And outright is according to standard RRP which is RM 2,290 (16GB) if not mistaken. They do allow outright unlike 3GS last time due to competition I guess.

Yes outright is available for existing maxis customer. Collected my iPhone yesterday at Plaza Sentral (their so-called iPhone depot), plenty of stocks there but only by appointment via 123. However the collection counter will only be opened till end of this month, so if you don't want to queue up and looking for stocks later I suggest you make your appointment now.

Machines Midvalley has plenty of 16GBs. Doesn't have to queue up long. My friend walked in yesterday afternoon and got it within half hour.

Yes you can buy outright provided they have sufficient stock. Machines (the apple store) is Maxis' Apple partner, therefore you can sign up for ivalue plans not just in MC but also thru Machines outlets. If I'm not mistaken maxis only grant Machines access to ivalue registration but not idata so if you plan to get under idata you have to go thru MC and not machines. Any MC and apple outlets (Machines/MacStudio) can sell outright provided they have sufficient stock.
