meh, i think he's trying to give alternatives phone choice to the forumers instead of going a pricey, buggy & no-future[no update] satio...
like we said, SE giving up symbian market...
2. android is growing biggrin.gif, we can feel it~!
3. android apps is a lot but not as much as iOS though, but some good Android devices[low-mid end, wildifre-around 1k] ALSO NOT AS PRICEY AS iOS devices! [ip 3gs - 1.6k+]

well, androids are like well rounded to me...
unless u wan GPS[like free garmin!] but theres still papago on android[pay loh]
*
Satio is still a pricey phone??

Android OS have a market share of 25.5% of market share, surpassing Apple iOS and Blackberry OS with 17% and 15% of the market share respectively.

I believe Android will continue to grow and so are the numbers of its application.

QUOTE(samsamn @ Nov 27 2010, 01:18 PM)
but xperia X10 only 8mp camera..and not so stylish..do SE (especially), or other brand have android phone dats come with 12mp camera??

QUOTE(CANONPIXMA @ Nov 27 2010, 01:22 PM)

hey guys

1. Nokia preferably, open to suggestions for other brands
2. 200-500
3. 3G internet connection, decent browser/facebook/twitter app (wifi would be a plus)
4. candybar

would like it if the phone was tough as nails (or kinda durable), am very rough with things so they need to last sweat.gif

Nokia C5? You might need to top up a bit.

c5 is slightly above 500 for AP, nearly 600 for Ori (or maybe little bit more than that)
*
+1.

You should be able to get about at that price range. I suggest you go for original for Nokia.

QUOTE(creative zn @ Nov 29 2010, 01:00 PM)
the problem is only with some of the 1st batch which is got motherboard problem. If you are buying an original one, should not to worry as nokia alert about the defective mobo on the 1st batch.
*
Not only that, some N8 cannot startup at all. I guess it is better to wait till next year like that. I am also looking forward to get N8 when it is ok.

hi...
i need recommendation on this two phone which is n97/n97 mini with the X6..which one is better?besides, what u all think of buying AP phone..coz im quite afraid that it might get some defect..is it true?
*
For Nokia phones always go for original. It is more durable.

QUOTE(creative zn @ Nov 29 2010, 10:38 PM)
even the original one also got defect. it depend on luck. the only different with AP set and Ori is their warranty services. Hmm.. i used N97 almost a year, it is AP set. now still kicking. biggrin.gif

for me, N97 is better than mini coz 3.5" vs 3.2". and the N97 keyboard got dpad which is unavailable at N97 mini. X6 also nice. capacitive screen. good music production, but dont have physical keyboard. else, both same, using symbians. so, choose what you like. smile.gif
*
Indeed. But it is easier to get the support through the Nokia center. It really depend on your luck at the end of the day when getting a handphone or a laptop.

QUOTE(wuwah @ Nov 30 2010, 01:07 AM)
emm.. some people have their luck, got no problems at all on AP. but both of n97(mini) and X6 have relatively about the same software, S60. just n97 is resistive touchscreen, and X6 is capacitive. n97(mini)'s resistive is quite sensitive, not like 5800. if u need the keyboard, then, go for n97(mini).
emm.. nokia c7? but it seems that the first batch got some issue with the motherboard. but not all. if u want to take the risk though
capacitive on that range, only X6 8GB, but topap a bit aa..
if low budget, nokia E5. if want touchscreen+slide qwerty, maybe nokia c6. higher budget, motorola milestone, BB.
depends on budget
*
The Nokia 5800 have new firmware release. It is said that there is an improvement on the touch screen sensitivity. Nokia have sold over 8 million units as November 2009. I think that Nokia will continue to provide updates for the Nokia 5800's firmware for 1 more year at least.

I never buy the latest model for the Nokia phone. These new models always have problems till it is usually solved in the later batches.
Also, it is cheaper to buy after a phone model is released for some time.

iPhone doesn't support flash.
Androids are the best choice right now

i don't know where to download Symbian flash lite for my Nokia 5800. I cannot enjoy certain websites that requires flash player.

hello, i need suggestions:
1. Brand - don't mind as long as ori..
2. 500-700
3. 3G internet connection, decent browser/facebook/twitter app (wifi would be a plus), touch screen but most importantly great to store as much music as possible
*
If you don't mind using the old school candy-bar phone, Nokia C5 is a good choice. However, it does not have Wifi.

If you are willing to top up, Nokia 5800 might be a good choice for you.

5530 quite good though (wifi, no gps), but didn't have 3g. so, out hmm.gif
*
Nokia 5800 have a better camera then the Nokia 5230. It is more worth while to invest in the Nokia 5800.

I think Nokia 5800 is not available with their suppliers.

The Nokia 5800 have been succeed by Nokia X6.

There are hardly any experts over here. Only the familiars ones.

Before answering your question, mind to tell more what you are going to do with your handphone? Like playing games, surfing the web or heavy sms.
