ya.. i did consider.. is it worth buying? any major problem found yet?
*
last time when it is first release it is about 2.4k like that for first hand original.

Now the price is about 1.3k or below like that. No big issue heard about this phone model.

thanks.. btw wanna ask better to get ap or ori set? wanna root it after i get it. if ori will it cancel the warranty?
*
It is always better to go for original.

If you root your device, it will void the warranty as well.

just asking....is it nokia n86 have problem? i heard that phone alwaz hang...
*
Not really. But it is common to see Nokia does not provide their handphones with appropriate processor speed and RAM.

It is lag for me when it tries to display the snapped photos as i zoomed in. So far, it does not hang before.

Also, i thought this model is no longer in the market anymore?

Only unlucky owners get problematic phones.

The 5% failure problem is old story some ppl seldom get themselves up to date

Do check the fast moving Nokia N8 thread
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1725089

Whether there are still so much complain on dead phones or problems . Is getting less and less and less

Hope that clarify your confusion
*
I know about that. like i say, another reason why i held back because of the budget. blush.gif

will rooting/flashing affect warranty?

neways x12 is expected within 2 months time, i guess ill wait for possible price slash, or is the arc going to be wallet-friendly as well?
*
Try to avoid rooting/flashing. Other than voiding the warranty, you might risk running to other trouble if you do not know how to flash it properly. wink.gif

actually rooting is good, the only problem is that it will void your warranty,
however most phone can unroot it back when its time to claim warranty.

rooting just grants you the admin authority to your phone,
meaning you're getting what you're supposed to get in the first place.
it lets you do much more things with your phone.
and if you follow the guide for rooting, the chance of bricking your device by rooting is slim, near impossible.
*
Indeed. I am not into Android yet. In the future, I might try these stuff also. wink.gif

Hi guys, i need a phone recommendation la, below is the detail

Budget under rm800
brand: prefer Nokia (except 5800 XM)or Se, other can also

must have gps, touch screen, WiFi.

Thanks
*
If you are willing to hike the budget by about Rm100, you can get Nice X6.

Otherwise, Nokia C5-03 is in your range, but not 100% sure if there is free GPS for this model.

any phone is n82 upgrade version ?
i need some photo like candy bar for my parents...
the words can't be small and easy to use...
how abt C5 also ? or there is newer version ?
*
Nokia C5 is not an upgrade version of the N82.

Its camera is not any near to N82. However, the processor speed is good. drool.gif

other than the camera ? overall better than n82 ?
how abt the font size ? can be changed ?
*
Well for font size i think you can actually set it become larger, but i don't think it would be larger than iphone or any other phones with display more than 3 inch in diagonal.

It is slimmer and lighter than N82, but the battery capacity does not reduce much. Since it is a budget phone, that kind of price is quite suitable.

Nokia X6 seems to suit you, but it uses Symbian.

For android, papago is available for a fee. icon_rolleyes.gif
