Specialities? Their kits and drum triggers I guess. Yeap, I heard about that before, there are a lot of issues regarding the quality of their drums last time but maybe they have improved now. But their artistes are very well known, carmine appice, dave lombardo, vinnie paul, shawn drover, etc.
franklooi96: No, but I'm planning to switch to Guitar Collection OU later this year (it depends on the availability). The place where I'm teaching now is in Hartamas, a bit far from my house.
So you graduated Rockschool under Guitar Collection also?
What do you personally think about their syllabus?
Well, I only teach beginners (still new). So the fee is around RM100-RM130, once a week, 30minutes per class. A bit expensive huh? hahaha..But I also teach at my friend's studio, RM80 for beginners and RM90 for Intermediate. 45 minutes per class. No, I was a TGS student before.
hahaha, don't ask me that question laa, you're asking me like I'm a pro only, I'm still new laa. hahaha. But for me, the syllabus are good but you need to know how to apply it on your drums. For example, the triplet, in the book you need to do it on the snare, but you can also try it on the toms or hi-hats. Eg, 1 (bass drum)-2 (tom) - 3 (tom) or 1 (hi-hat) -2 (hi-hat) -3 (snare).
Mm thought of that, I'm learning from youtube too, the tiger fella.
Say guys, for a secondary snare, would you use a regular snare or get a drum pad?
Why not? Since it'll be a secondary snare, it's okay if it's not perfect sounded for one tone, if you can change the tone, it's the best to be called Secondary snare.
I guess this guy is not from Malaysia, and maybe he wanted to put the price in USD or other currencies but since Mudah is a Malaysian site, the price will automatically be in RM. Hahahaha...
or maybe its a scam, coz I still remember last time when I posted my stuff on Mudah, there are few foreigners offering to buy my stuff in USD. The weird think is, I received the same email from different people.
I also search them on youtube. The band's song not bad seeing that its their original song. If only can get better quality to listen then youtube.
Too bad, they not same like SNSD
Whatever.

You don't have to wait till you're good to start jamming. In fact, jamming helps you build yourself up better. As long as you can do basic beats, start jamming. It helps your overall timing and helps you to sync with other players, as well as build confidence.
Honestly. Don't wait.
I know some great solo drummers who can't play in bands well.
I expected this from any of you since my post.
Well, of course I know it would practice and train me to be a better drummer, and I know it's a waste of chance to let them go like this.
yeah but seriously, what makes an expensive snare drum expensive? Is it the material and workmanship only? Like maybe 7 ply maple more expensive than 5 ply maple and pearl more expensive than mapex..
not that it creates special sound or wat that makes it expensive? like dat i better go for medium price snare la.. not so cheap that it broken within 1000 hits and also nto so expensive that i have to eat white rice every month..
agree?
What I can say is, it's very subjective.

Wow u even got a music room. Must be living in a bungalow.. i jealous Vision.. hmm.. Pearl always get good review for their drums but their price is a bit expensive compare to Tama.. ANy more recommendations?
Btw, after getiing the basic vision, can i just buy 1 extra floor tom or 3rd tom from them? Got sell?
Nope, just terrace.
Since the maid went back already, we have a spare room to use.
So we decided to renovate it a little and make it the music room.
Actually yes, the vision does sound good. But the Masters will be according to YOUR specifications. And you can't really compare like that IMO. For example la... chinese maple and American maple? Both maple kan? Stuff like that. But it still doesn't sound the same.
I have to admit though, Birch/Basswood sounds great
