A Roland 20 TD-K kit? Might be useful if you are really fussy about the sound you want and a lazy-to-tune drummer. Personally I still don't encourage having electric drums.

The snare itself already look like it's gonna produce fat and warm sound.

When I create my snare I'll take the whole log and cut it side to side and have it's original size which might not be round.
Instead of glueing the wood pieces together. |

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Feb 1 2011, 10:47 AM) If your snare not round, then how to get heads? Might be difficult but for me it would be very special. Speaking of which, I came across this a while back. Now may be a good time to share it http://www.squaredrums.com/ |

I'm currently using the Pearl Forum and I have played on the Imperialstar 5 pcs. I'd really recommend the Tama if you compare this two kits.
For cymbals, yeah stay away from brass cymbals. As they are really heavy and would make alot of noise that you wouldn't enjoy. (well for me, at least) |

QUOTE(musefanatic @ Feb 26 2011, 09:17 PM) You could go for Tama Imperialstar/Pearl Vision VX and still left with enough money to get yourself pretty decent cymbals.Or if you want to get the Ludwig Epic 5 piece and sacrifice a little for the cymbals. But you'll be saving the cost to upgrade the whole kit for the second option. |
