That's the after playing sound you will get.

IMO it should sound the same both when you are recording and listening. Just sayin'  smile.gif
P/S : Wimminz joke stay out of this thread. smile.gif

Ohh might be wonderful too. And yeah I still think it's one heck fabulous idea to use the bass mic for snare ! rclxms.gif
*
My engineer seems to think so smile.gif And out of a PDP 805 snare comes a beautiful sound biggrin.gif

All AAX except the hats, which are HHX. The Paragon ride at the back wasn't in the recording. The AAX just sounded sweeter and matched the rest better. smile.gif

The studio's kit (not the cymbals tongue.gif except the Studio crash on the left)

It was fun, a great learning experience lah, a big change from live recordings. biggrin.gif

You only play with 1 tom? Cool shit cool2.gif
*
My usual setup isn't like this gua smile.gif Its just that, for ONE track, to bring my Ludwig to the studio would be a waste tongue.gif

I prefer playing with 3 rack toms and 2 floor toms, two snares, if possible.

My current home setup is two snares, two rack toms, two floor toms and a double pedal smile.gif

I found playing with one rack tom pretty hard though actually, as I'm not used to it tongue.gif I thought it would be a standard five piece kit. smile.gif

wow somewhat like how i set up my kit but i prefer to put my ride cymbal next to/after the first tom...then the rest of the crashes on the right side...hehehehe...loving the all white kit!! which studio is this? would love to try and record some drum tracks there
*
I do a lot of bell/ride shuffle in my playing so I find it easier lah with my ride on the right, besides, usually the area after the first tom, I usually put another tom or two there, so I'm not used to my ride being there biggrin.gif

Pulse Soundworks, Subang Jaya.

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Jan 27 2011, 09:46 AM)
Isaac u record then make cd? How much u sell? Any sample of your songs?
*
Recording singles first, see how the public will respond to it. Then if got good response, the... see how lah. wink.gif
Cause my bassist has to leave after this session.

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Jan 27 2011, 03:37 PM)
Oh for recording is at that rate..

But for jamming purposes should be lesser i assume..

Ya, what cool songs did u record.. Share it on Youtube brother
*
Its not for jamming biggrin.gif Recording only. The old 12records is now RecLab, great equipment, one studio is Rm30, and the other one, with Mesa Boogie and PDP X7 is Rm60 an hour.

We just finished the drum tracks, working on the rest throughout next week. smile.gif

Is it Burzum style? or Nile?
*
Its not actually tongue.gif Despite my influences, the main single we're recording is actually quite bassy. You can call it rock lah. There's funk, jazz, blues, shred... a mixture biggrin.gif

When I create my snare I'll take the whole log and cut it side to side and have it's original size which might not be round.

Instead of glueing the wood pieces together. laugh.gif

If your snare not round, then how to get heads? tongue.gif

A bomb is about RM4k including the ATA-approved case and after shipping and tax.
Building, no. Assembling, maybe. Giving ideas and advice, yes.
Wahahaha... I'm cut out to be a consultant.
BTW, Remo heads are pretty good... or at least the better ones that don't come in plastic bags like those at Bentley :S
Id probably like them more than Evans if only it was available here, and at a relatively affordable price.
*
I agree. smile.gif But so far on all my records I've used Evans, except for a jazz tune that I did which I used Remo Powerstroke 3, Ambassador and Pinstripes.

wat do u guys think of PEACE drumkit ??
anyone have one ??
*
I've played a couple of Peace kits before, fully modded lah tongue.gif Different snare, Evans heads, and I found them okay xD Not bad sound, looks good, but not the best.

Nothing I would refuse to play on, but then again, those were the entry level kits smile.gif

Which better for beginner
Tama Imperialstar or Pearl Forum
And what recommended cymbal for beginner
*
I would say the Imperialstar is better, and you could try going with Sabian B8s, Zildjian ZBTs, Paiste PST3s, or something along those lines. I don't recommend brass cymbals.

Or what 6 pc drum kit recommended for beginner?

I'm not sure. sad.gif

I would recommend the Ludwig Element smile.gif 3 rack toms, one floor tom, one snare and one bass.
