buy a wireless trigger lo or us a pc sync cord... wired. wireless is betetr la wtth a transmitter and receiver. starts at about RM 90-100 per pair.

cheapest one is phottix PT-04
http://shashinki.com/shop/phottix-tetra-pt...facturers_id=99

in between got Phottix Aster i believe slightly longer range
http://shashinki.com/shop/phottix-aster-pt...facturers_id=99

To use tripod or not depends on what you shoot.

Fast passed event photography how to use tripod, expecially when you need to move around, with so many people, furniture (uhm..obstacles?), to avoid?

I use my 50mm f1.4 for my event photography. Its not the sharpest lens wide open. But for flashless low light photography, i can sacrifice a bit of sharpness for that extra stop or 2 of shutter speed. Cranking up ISO also whacks the sharpness. But then again, unless you were pixel peeping and restric yourself to 8x10s...hell you wont even notice it was soft.

Hell, I haven't had any complaints when I was using the 50mm f1.8. And those that have used it can detest how unrealiable the AF is on that lens in low light. The F1.4 is much better.

Would I use a tripod? Yes. For my product photography. F14, ISO 100 3 second exposure.....How not to use tripod?

In HKIA waiting for next flight.

Reminds me how much sucky TM's gateway is. All the malaysian sites are so slooooooow. Everying outside Malaysia is blooody fast.

Vancouver in 12 hours.........probably no time to even manage to take the camera out of the bag...... would be the 4th time, and I still have yet to take a shot...hahahaha.

bro jaycee,

That is exactly what I would like to know.. when and what scenario to use.... But the master unable to explain in details and go to the extend labeling others know nothing about photography. Yes I do admit i know nothing bout photography beside spamming the shutter. So does that mean that ah chu, ah mak and ah 9 who know abit of photography can be a sifu and talk like a top professional who earn few hundred k per month ? when ask for info then "taruk" others link/blog such as the sinkalanray blog ? something is not right here smile.gif

so lesson learnt today, don buy cheap b+w filter even though its NOT CHEAP AT ALL. buy MRC or ksm or the pro level brand. otherwise image wil turn out whitish at most outdoor shots

looks fun in those picture... sad that it has to be like that

Something weird happened to my SDHC and I only noticed it last night! About 200-250 shots in my SDHC just disappeared into thin air without me deleting them! shocking.gif

Thank God I have backed up them in my PC, my convo photos, fishing boats photos and some random street photography shots. shocking.gif Luckily else my once in a lifetime convo photos will be tarnished! How scary.

Anybody had the similar encounter before?

I have learnt my lesson well, later for my trip I'll transfer out once I'm resting in the hotel. This is way too scary. I can't even trust it anymore. sweat.gif

Not sure what's going on though.

can i add on on the sharpness part?
not necessarily L lens then its sharp already, every lens is sharp also, if you stopped down to f8, every lens is sharp, definition of sharpness of lens is how sharp is it during wide open and corner to corner sharpness.

Shouldn't be, I already copied them out once the event finished, that was quite some times ago. I still viewed them from my camera LCD, last night only I noticed they were tarnished.

Unless... Someone is daring enough to delete my photos without my knowledge. As far as I know I'm the one holds the camera most of the time.

Oh well, it could be my carelessness then.
