isit niagara fall~?

Yep it is. Unfortunately, he shot that on the not so good looking US side of the Falls. The Canadian side is better. I've been there quite a few times. Should go and take picture of it when they fire up the multi coloured spot lights.

Now thats something that calls for weather resistance. They have the Maid of the Mist, boat ride that gets very close and very wet to the falls.

To use tripod or not depends on what you shoot.

Fast passed event photography how to use tripod, expecially when you need to move around, with so many people, furniture (uhm..obstacles?), to avoid?

I use my 50mm f1.4 for my event photography. Its not the sharpest lens wide open. But for flashless low light photography, i can sacrifice a bit of sharpness for that extra stop or 2 of shutter speed. Cranking up ISO also whacks the sharpness. But then again, unless you were pixel peeping and restric yourself to 8x10s...hell you wont even notice it was soft.

Hell, I haven't had any complaints when I was using the 50mm f1.8. And those that have used it can detest how unrealiable the AF is on that lens in low light. The F1.4 is much better.

Would I use a tripod? Yes. For my product photography. F14, ISO 100 3 second exposure.....How not to use tripod?

In HKIA waiting for next flight.

Reminds me how much sucky TM's gateway is. All the malaysian sites are so slooooooow. Everying outside Malaysia is blooody fast.

Vancouver in 12 hours.........probably no time to even manage to take the camera out of the bag...... would be the 4th time, and I still have yet to take a shot...hahahaha.

very beautiful power of CPL... drool.gif

There was no CPL used for that shot. 77mm CPL bloody expensive. a CPL would actually spoil that shot. Wanted the mirror effect.

The water look so calm. Wish to snap this kind of picture since the first time I held a dslr. Nice shot btw but looks incomplete like you said only the middle without the other 2 sides

Lucky shot. Went past the lake just 45mins earler and it was rough. Just as I was about to leave on the way back, the waters suddenly became calm. one of these goosepimple events.

I will repost the picture once I get time to stitch the shots up. Plenty of shots need stitching up.

By any chance you have Half Dome sunrise/sunset shot? thumbup.gif

I'm so going to Yosemite NP in near future.

Its bloody beautiful there. You need 1 week to make your trip worthwile. I don't have any sunrise/set shots of Half Dome since I didn;t have enough time since I lived quite a bit off the park limits. (didn't feel like driving in the dark). I think I have a similar shot of El Capitan with its reflection of it on the Merced shallows...... no time to get to it.....maybe in a week or so.
