I don't think the Epos shops are selling that low. most online sites are going at at least 3.5k.

I see I see...still it's an advantage to have physical shops locally...
can feel the actual watch 1st before buying elsewhere if it's expensive.. tongue.gif

Any particular Seiko5 diver that u're interested in? And when you say diver u mean 200m rite? Most 200m divers would come with rubber strap. But I guess u're buying just for daily wear and not for diving?

You can get aftermarket Seiko steel bracelet for almost any diver. For me personally a diver looks more at home on rubber. tongue.gif

Ditto on that. If I had to choose between the 2, I would go for Epos over Tissot.

yup, daily wear...

rubber doesn't go well wif my skin, tends to get smelly very fast, also will get rashes once a while... so steel bracelet is a must wink.gif

oh well... maybe I'll just settle for Seiko 5 Sports rather than diver watch smile.gif

Seiko5 is widely available in many Seiko stores. If you want to view you can go to any shopping mall like 1U, Sunway, Midvalley, Sg Wang. City Chain also carry a wide range of Seiko5 but give small discounts. The normal shops in Sg Wang might get better discounts but their range is limited for Seiko5.

Once u get the watch, remove the rubber strap. Place the rubber strap in a tin or container and pour warm water (not boiling hot) into it. Let it sit for awhile and remove the rubber strap. See if that solves your rashes problem. Worked for my friend's Panerai rubber. No rashes after that. The problem with some rubber straps is they attract alot of dust and lint, especially the softer rubber. So they treat it with a chemical.

Havent heard of any issues with the newer Seiko rubber straps though. The vintage Seiko rubber straps yes. Also rubber straps are easy to clean. I use a toothbrush with soap.

Well anyway, bracelet's fine on a diver. biggrin.gif

thx. i was looking for a nice bond nato (though not the 'real' bond nato) to match the SRP043K but problem is

1) timefactors' 20mm is sold out
2) got other options like maratac but hv to buy online
3) fossil's one is 22mm

so i managed to get a 20mm one from red army. quality is not fantastic but it'll do until i find another.

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a watch that is quite strong and durable for daily wear. So is this alright?
Or should I go for steel?
Is there any other brand thats more valuable(for money) in the market? Under rm1k? Under rm700?
Doesn't matter if it's unavailable in Malaysia.
Is Invicta alright?

Many thanks in advance
Here is the watch I was talking about

Thanks bro but I'm a complete noob when it comes to photography. I'm using a EF18-135 with a snap on Raynox DCR-250. Can't afford a macro lense yet. Can only afford 1 expensive hobby at a time. tongue.gif

I've got a hard to find SKX011J putting up for sale soon if u're interested.

I'm still not sure what to call the SRP043. Some call it Sinnko but over at WUS, they seem to be widely known as "Spork". It's the only Seiko that I keep on the stock bracelet. Yours look good on the bond nato tho. And as always, love your photos!

I highly recommend Maratac. I've got a wide range of Nato/Zulu straps and IMO Maratac's the best among the lot.

Define strong and durable. The SKXs should be fine for normal daily wear unless u work in construction and the watch is subjected to hard knocks and shocks then best not to wear any mechanical watch. Better get a G-shock! biggrin.gif

No offence to Invicta owners but I will never own an Invicta even if you gave it to me for free and paid me RM1000. RM5000 I might consider. tongue.gif

It's not so much their watches but there's quite a controversy with their claims. But anyway, I always think if u like a watch enough, screw the where r they made from, what movement, how accurate, mumbo jumbo. As long as the watch makes u smile when worn on the watch, who cares right? biggrin.gif

thanks for the kind comments. yes they call it the spork as the srp043k > srp0k > spork blush.gif

the bracelet is instead darn solid. i was looking ard for a seiko diver and initially wanted to get a sumo but then somehow, the look on this one pulled me a bit harder biggrin.gif

ya i've heard of maratac. i've decided to order the timefactors one without the back piece instead which allows me to put the case lower down on the wrist.

a few more pics

Before I make my recommendation I would like to apologize to the Seiko fans.

This CASIO watch is working great as my beater watch.

Hi, I'm planning to get a good-looking, stylish, and reliable Seiko watch. My budget is around 700-900.
Any recommendations?
