yea now of days no more driver cd included...
the i5-450 is not slow. the reason why the cost is high is mainly because it uses bamboo to build thus its enviromentally friendly another laptop similar (but not bamboo of course...) is the Acer 3820TG. |

well, the main thing you need to consider about the mac
1) can you afford it 2) can you use OSX (i have alot of trouble using my friend's mac, but web browsing is quite awesome on a mac) If you want a laptop to just do normal stuff (eg, web browsing, word processing, music video) and just some gaming (in your case HoN i think you'll have to either run parallel or bootcamp, which will cost extra money to get that, so need keep that in mind) Also, mbp 13 is 3,899.00, without apple care plan, that's another 900 ringgit and factoring other stuff like office for mac (unless you use open office) [oh i forgot iWork, selling at RM199] and then there's the windows license... well, you get the idea. The mbp 13 can meet your requirements, assuming you don't plan to take up any more gaming (i.e black ops and such) Imo, its rather expensive but if you can afford it, why not? The one that can rival the mbp line, is the XPS 15, just make sure to upgrade the screen, its still cheaper and more powerful than the mbp 15. It'll lose when it comes to web browsing experience (the touchpad on the mbp is quite awesome) but other than that... the XPS 15 has a better screen, better speakers, better warranty.... Added on November 28, 2010, 10:48 pmoh yea christopher, you need to review your budget, what's your max? because 3.5k cannot get you an AW (beside the AW netbook) This post has been edited by DoubleU: Nov 28 2010, 10:59 PM |

The M11x is a netbook, so the processor is downclocked (less heat, less power consumption)

QUOTE(Christopher7 @ Nov 28 2010, 11:04 PM) M11x is a netbook @@ I thought it is a quite not bad gaming laptop? M11x is a netbook, its not great for gaming, its better than mbp 13, but its okay. Laptops like Acer 4820TG,Sony EA36 is better,. |

@sirlordwanz
well... if its dell, you could just browse their online shop. But anyways.. for 3k, XPS 15, XPS 14, Dell Inspiron 15r (oh just note that the XPS line does not have a VGA port, might not be suitable for work.) see here for the inspiron >>> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1656053 This post has been edited by DoubleU: Nov 28 2010, 11:15 PM |

i5 = dual core
i7 = quad core. i5 is generally better for day to day usage and gaming, while video editting, photoshop, performs better on i7. lol, march or april? then can wait long long, new tech coming out next year. |

well if you want something stronger, there's the Thinkpad T series. Its not as powerful as the Dell XPS 15, but its definitely very tough. (how strong do you need your laptop to be?)
