4820tg so hot now, everyone recommended that. i mean for tat price range. i just bought one from lowyat last weekend.

1. Brand : Any
2. Budget : below RM2.5k
3. Spec : Intel processor, window 7
4. Size : Preferable 13" or 14" max

Usage : for kids (10 and 12 years old) Microsoft Office, Simple Photoshops, you tube, online games, web surfing.

Any recommendation from sifus?

so the onli plus point is color for vaio? the build quality all acer better?

Doesn't come with dvd drive, but you can buy external one...
Win 7 Basic no effect like Aero, transparency and such..

hi guys, so basically i`m looking for a laptop for a friend who is a girl.
currently, this http://www.sony.com.my/product/vpcea36fg has caught her attention.
the retail price for this is rm3499.

my question is what other models should i take a look at with this exact amount of budget?
shes taking an animation course, so performing well in photoshop, illustrator, aftereffects, maya and etc is a must.
gaming? not so. or more like, not for gaming.

any help is much appreciated.

to be serious,this model is already quite good in preformance.plus is "VAIO",for this price with this kind of spec,worth it

well, there's the A42Ja with the i7-740qm which would help with all the rendering. Or you might wanna consider getting the sxps 16 that has a fullHD screen. More workspace will be easier to work. Or the XPS 15...

Also got the Asus X42Jr which is cheaper, but still has an i7-740qm (2.8k around there)

yea, the A42Ja is really worth the money. but still has to let my fren decide which is preferred.
dont think will go for the xps, too bulky to carry from one spot to another.
