I've been looking for Asus A42JV but it seems to be di-commissioned shocking.gif . Any other laptops that might fits the same model specs or even better? notworthy.gif

no, Cannot just say that ATi is lousier than nVidia like that. Anyways the HD5650 in the 4820tg is among the top mainstream cards. Its better than the GT425m and the GT335m, GT435m that still duno. Still no benchmarks for that card.

the A42jv already eol quite a while. The replacement is the Acer 4820TG.

guys,
i need recommandation for laptop/netbook range rm1.5k
this for my lil sister who only 10yo
main function for internet ,, (youtube and games)
suitable for games like "the sims"
graphic better is bonus for this kind of budget

p/s:other than that,my dad will share this lap with her when outstation.Main function send/receive email via broadband ..

hm erm, ur dad is bringing this laptop outstation? or will it just sit in one place? cause a desktop might be better suited.

good battery life (at least 4 hrs)

light gaming preferred. at least want a pc that can play warcraft 3 and sim city 4/Cities XL. but the main thing is i want the pc to be very portable.

been eyeing Asus u35JC. but any other choices?

I think it's better if you state your budget.
It will make it easier for the sifus to help you out.

Bro, perhaps you can take a look at Lenovo Z360 (i5-460m+ G310M), U460 (14 inch but very slim and light, ignore this if not interested laugh.gif )...
Asus U35Jc is a rather good pick except for the poor built which is not very convincing sweat.gif
No laptops from Toshiba offers battery life + performance at the moment...

anyone can tell me the pros and cons of lenovo u460, i was attracted by the thickness and weight. but is the laptop heated up very fast? or it keep very warm all the time, becoz i need a laptop for gaming for a long hours but thin and light.

The GPU in the U460 is not really meant for gaming...
Perhaps you should consider Acer's 3820(S'pore), 4820TG instead nod.gif
