15 inch = heavy. 3kg, i dno if its heavy for you.
wat is light enough? 14 inch is 2.4kg 13 inch is 1.8kg. unless u r willing to pay more, etc. MBP, HP envy 15, vaio Z, adamo. which are shooting away from your budget. so if u want light, then u need to sacrifice screensize. designing purpose and gaming, how to define? mind sharing the games and software you are using? they can vary alot. stylish = vaio or mbp? only low spec vaios at rm3k price tag...which will not suffice ur usage. |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Oct 4 2010, 03:12 AM) Are you posting a reply to my queries? QUOTE(quest_5692 @ Oct 4 2010, 03:59 AM) 15 inch = heavy. 3kg, i dno if its heavy for you. Hmm, it better be 14 or 15" cause i don't want the sreen to be too small. My defination of light is it should be portable enough because alot of my friends bought their labtop and just leave it at home because it's too heavy to carry around. That would be no point of getting a labtop for me since i already have a good desktop.wat is light enough? 14 inch is 2.4kg 13 inch is 1.8kg. unless u r willing to pay more, etc. MBP, HP envy 15, vaio Z, adamo. which are shooting away from your budget. so if u want light, then u need to sacrifice screensize. designing purpose and gaming, how to define? mind sharing the games and software you are using? they can vary alot. stylish = vaio or mbp? only low spec vaios at rm3k price tag...which will not suffice ur usage. Only medium gaming not professional or heavy gaming. Softwares like photoshop, illustrator and stuff. The max i can afford is MBP 13-inch, 2.4GHz. I don't really fancy VAIO :/. Thanks for your recommendation i will research more. What do you guys think about Acer 4820TG? This post has been edited by justordinary: Oct 4 2010, 04:18 AM |

QUOTE(justordinary @ Oct 4 2010, 04:18 AM) Are you posting a reply to my queries? yes, his recommendation is for you, the best spec 15 incher under your budget.Hmm, it better be 14 or 15" cause i don't want the sreen to be too small. MBP 13 is using old tech, dun buy it, it works like a rm2k laptop only. i think, u might want to go and test and feel what size you want. as the weight differs quite alot although the screensize just 1 size smaller. 2.4kg to 3kg is not little. timelineX 4820 suites u very well. actually it suites everyone. long battery life, exclusive finishing, best GPU under rm3k i think, for 14 inchers. you should really go for it. its the best selling cake in lowyat now. but its 14 inch la. |

1. Brand: ASUS
2. Budget: Less than 3600rm 3. Specs: i5/i7 4. 14"/15" (15" is better Major use for general computing, watch movie and some photo editing and games like The sims 3 or Left 4 dead. Well, in my consideration right now are ASUS N82Jq/Asus A42Ja/Asus A42JV |

FullHD means the screen resolution is 1920x1080..while most notebook is 1366x768... yes, nonHD video will be played in FullHD as well, just that its upscaled and will not be as good as FullHD movies... |

If want to get in nov/dec, better ask at that time...
For now, the only 15'' Asus that fit your price range is A52Jc, but weak GPU... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 4 2010, 10:44 PM |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Oct 4 2010, 10:44 PM) If want to get in nov/dec, better ask at that time... Ic. I will check it out then. Btw, i have 3 questions hereFor now, the only 15'' Asus that fit your price range is A52Jc, but weak GPU... 1. the battery for N53Jq can last how long? will it have problem like N82?? which the battery can last around 2 hours? 2. A52Jc have weak GPU? issit means will have lag during playing games such as the sims 3/L4D? 3. Nvidia GT425M is better than ATi HD5730 rite? |

1. Should be similar with N82 since its using Quad core and dedicated GPU...
2. Well, L4D should be fine, but others model mentioned is much much better,... 3.For now, HD5730 > GT425M, though GT425M has the potential to be better than HD5730... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 4 2010, 11:08 PM |
