Its a similar question to "what are your strength" or "competitive edge". Hence you should know how to answer that question before the interviewer ask you the question.

slushie>> that's pretty vague. How "honest" were you with what issue? And does it have a high impact or influence towards what you'll be handling?

Also, it depends on interviewers I guess. Some appreciates your honestly while others might scorn at your record.

like i accidentally revealed that i applied for 2 positions from the same company.. 2 different dept. one of them is not related to my field of studies.

and the interviewer commented that i shouldn't have applied for 2 positions same time.. +_+

You mean as in you applied for job A and job B in the same company? Even if you don't tell, HR will know ^^;

I don't see how it's a problem. You can just tell the interviewer that you're interested in both functions but not sure how you'll fare in the other one (which is not related to studies). Just mention you applied because you have profound interest and would like to know more - if it's possible to rake in an interview for it.

i wish the interviewer thinks like you. Coz i can see from her facial expression that it wasn't advisable to do so. She made it sound like as if I wasn't sure of what suits me. She also commented that the 2nd position has no relevance to my field of studies.. +_+ (i applied for internship btw)

Yes, some times applying for 2 positions within the same company also could show that you're not sure about what you want. The interviewer takes it as the latter.

Relevance is preferable but it's not compulsory. Lots of people jump field and enter jobs that's not related to their studies/ previous position. Internship is fine, it's general.

Hmm well in any case you've gone for the interview and tried your best. Don't dwell into it further, focus on job hunt while you wait for her reply on interview result.

Haha you can always tell the interviewer that you are "gung-ho" bout the company. Anyway sweet_pez gave some pretty good advise.
Some HR really hate it when you apply to many different position. It a sign that you don't know what you want or you're too free and giving them problem.

Talk about audit and tax then highlight why tax. Sorry don't know much about tax and audit, but I would say "tax affects everyone where audit ... we dont audit individual people unless its for tax spot check"

Another question being asked is

" How you see yourself in term of creativity?"

how should i give the examples to show that i am creative or any other more suitable answer?

i would say something like <out of box thinking> approach when solving the problem meaning much faster & effective way of doing thing and NOT stick to traditional way eg have you do this exercise before by joining dots with lines in different way <vertical, horizontal and diagonal etc> you know what i mean right tongue.gif sorry can't talk much on tax coz i'm totally blank on this subject and really cry.gif NEED to pay income tax each year, still not yet do my e-filing but still have time to submit before month end laugh.gif

Yeah, you answer in the sense of showing "evidence" or previous cases of being creative and the idea/ work is accepted by your boss.

Depends on what they ask the first time. But I'm guessing they will ask a bit more detail or technical question.

i would say on 2nd interview you are probably potential candidate <shortlisted> to hire by them ... well on question, it's quite subjective imo depending what job position you apply for .... eg if on engineer post ... should prepare yourself .... on technical aspect i.e how to solve prob by using various tools, tech drwg, what software, any project taken etc .... again i'm not sure they will ask you this??? IF asking WHY you are suitable for this position then at least you must able to demonstrate / link your previous job experience or accomplishment to your future employer, just my 2 cents ..

cheers.
