Let say you are new to the company.

Newly joined person will always undergo probation period.

Probation period 3 - 6 months, depending on performance. After the probation period, should there be increment in salary or not?

If yes, how much do you normally ask or get? RM300? RM500?

Example: During the interview session, both party agreed to 'RM5,000'. After probation period, you get RM5,500?

My question is, after probation period, he/she should or should not get increment? rolleyes.gif

probation means : "are u suited for wat we hired u for"

not "if u perform up to our expectation u get a raise"

it does not make business sense to give u a raise for "performing up to par only"

if u r good performer, appraisal time i revise. not upon confirmation.

I'm currently not happy with my job because of the management and the work mates. Thinking of searching for new job..my question is, is it okay to say bad things about the current employer that we want to quit working for if the interviewer ask us why we want to quit our current job? should I just tell the truth or made up some other excuses?

NEVER SAY ANYTHING BAD about your current employer. Try to be "politically correct" when answering the question.

Perhaps you can say something along the line like "I'm looking for a change in working environment?"

Why not list down 3 item that you love about your current job, and 3 items which you hated most. Then for those you hated most try put them into group can be change or can't be change. That way your situation is much clearer, and that you will be able to show your prospective employer why you are suitable for the job offered.

Try not emphasize things which can be change e.g. relationship with your current boss, and colleague, as these are human relationship problems which can be solve. Try focus on things which can't be solve, in this way, you don't reveal your weaknesses.

Interviewers dislike "whiners", so just tell them your previous job is not aligned to your personal goals, which is to [insert reason for joining new comp]

Depend on company. If the industry is regulated and compliance heavy, of course
"NO, I will win it fair and square with my own effort and expertise"

"Unless you have some suggestions to help brows.gif "

If the interviewer ask,
1. why should this company hire you?
2. how can you contribute to the company?

What is the proper way to answer these questions?
