tis morning start car, heard cat screaming sound from engine bay. got sounds too. quickly turn off engine.... slowly open bonnet....looked inside...
luckily no dead cat corpse. the cat somehow must have jumped out n away while i got out the car.

anyway, lots of cat fur inside near my pulleys. and...check this out... my power steering belt fell on the floor. poor cat must have got a leg stuck there or something, until can cause the entire belt to dislocate and land on the ground. since i dun have enough tools to retension the pulleys, i had to tumpang car to work tdy sad.gif pek cek!

im using it right now. believe it or not, it's up to you loh..
yes. for me is 100% city drive (previously).
now, 200km highway drive, the leftover is city drive.
93t is year 96 de.. (if im not mistaken), but no worry, coz, the jap.. usually 'potong' their car below 100k.. (i dunno how many years they use it)
and i believe we still have 200km to go, until we kena any major service to the engine.

a copy from wiki about 4g93 engine variants.

I know turbocharged for long distance drive is very efficient, but city drive along with traffic jammed, not so much. But despite the not so much, if it is better than 1.5A, then it is better because I know 1.3 and 1.5 fc not so good. I'm using 1.5A myself, city drive able to push up to 350km, and that's very very ease on foot. I just let it accelerate, and when downhill, go on N and bersila laugh.gif

not only long distance, but town drive also no prob de. for me, it's well better than my 1.5A, i dun sprint or drive fast with it.. yet my 1 tank is 350 and sometimes 330km!!
on 1.8T manual, i can reach 400km easily. usually more than 400++.

Yes I believe tappet alignment. Enough or not enough I'm not sure, but better get it done first since you like to rev like crazy brows.gif Don't want to end up like me, tappet loosen and stranded. Need to go back all the way from Sepang to Puchong at 20kmph only. Arrive at workshop, mechanics came so quick, just like an ambulance arrive at hospital. laugh.gif
*
haha.. then its ok for me... im from puchong and drive around puchong only... since got ambulance mechanic then no worries d... how much tappet alignment cost?

price is from previous 2 years. prepare 13k. (engine, workmanship, parts(rims, exhaust, wear and tear), endorsement)
i dunno bout the price now.. but i do heard ppl say the engine alone now cost 10k. mine was 7.8k

yeah.. use back the old petrol tank. the gsr tank is a bit different. it got bend in the middle section (for the long shaft) because of the 4WD.

I don't know about alignment tappet cost, but mine need to rebuild engine. Last time zero knowledge, so just let it be. Otherwise, I definitely go for half cut, demmit doh.gif

hmmm... through automotive garage, rebuild cost bout 5k... but half cut engine like 4g92 itself cost at least 5k... saw 1 around 6k... workmanship will cost like another 1k... but half cut definitely better in terms of improved performance... anywhere i can find good and cheap half cut?

Depends on what engine, 92 MIVEC and 93T now in the range of 9k to 10k for low mileage 1s
After that need to spend on replacing wear and tear parts although the best recommendation is to overhaul it

So yeah, depends on what engine first. The good thing about rebuild is you get back a brand new engine with a lot more power than the original (if your mech do PNP, balancing and etc etc) and yet you still have balance for other stuffs wink.gif
