The ride + handling is fun and engaging. The design is sleek and sporty. The interior finishing and cockpit looks luxurious. It's like a mini BMW (quoted from a car review somewhere in the net). So why not ok?

Furthermore, you bought it at the price that you feel comfortable to spend.

Do remember car price will depreciate anyway...

Isn't the foam dampening the echo of the sound thru the cabin?

I do also seriously thinking about soundproofing, but considering also the price and effectiveness, coz there are few products out there...

alo guys! thanks for the warm welcome! Fell in love with the RED even before i see the actual car! hahaha! furthermore, it's rare for RED M3!

Apology that i won't be able to join the coming TT as i will be outstationed and I don't think my toy will arrive before that... smile.gif however, i'll definitely make an effort to participate on the nest one!

Cheers!!

I also considering for soundproofing too.
Totally can't stand the tire noise, it's so annoying in most of the time. sad.gif

Soundproofing for M3 usually cost how much?? Seems like the sound is really troublesome eh? hmm.gif

It's not so noticeable when u have the stereo on. And it's all tire noise due to the 17" low profile tires I guess.
Anyone done soundproofing?

Low profile is part of the reason, another reason is because of performance tires, moreover it's a TOYO.
On very rough road, the tire noise can even cover the stereo sound unless you tune the audio volume rather high.

Yeah the tire factor is quite true.

But I don't want to compromise the "potong air" properties as well. If you get quieter tires, the potong air props would be lower.

That leaves you to the only option - soundproofing.

Anyway its not so bad, the road noise from wira, satria or viva is 50% higher IMHO.

dont bother about the noise 1st.. the tyre contribute a lot to the noise, but the tyre superb i can say.. drive 120 during heavy rain also controllable. You can always change the tyre to the silent one once u bought AND DONT FORGET TO SELL THE TOYO TO ME!!! smile.gif

if i'm not mistaken the autofoam will reduce the vibration in ur hollow section of chasis and also improve the rigidity of chasis. but i think not much noise will be reduce.

I have been going through the old threads and it seems when the m3 was newly launched in 2009 there was issue with getting the spare parts.
Any such issues anymore? Hopefully other m3 owners will share their experience bcos I think this is one main reason ppl go for more common cars like civic.

hye guys.

just done my third service at Bermaz PJ, first time here actually, last 2 times done it at JB. but it takes too long about 3hours 10mins (JB only like less than 40mins). maybe due to many cars sweat.gif

anyway, other aspects of services, i can say perfect! rclxm9.gif done the tyre rotation too, and its free coz not includes any balancing or alignment.

after that i stop by at GS, asking for body kit (that black thing, somebody already mentioned here). they dont have but only the front bumper cost RM750 blink.gif

okay, anyone joining TT tomorrow? see u there..
