QUOTE(Delvin @ Sep 26 2010, 09:54 PM) Hi Guys, CKD ain't really a good news in this country if you concern more in qualities, but there is always hopes, just 'hopes'.For those that have been following this thread. There are some news in regards to the Mazda 3. CBU JAPAN Mazda 3 will likely see its final shipment in Dec 2010 or Jan 2011. After that all Mazda 3 will be CKD. Those who are interested to get a CBU units, pls do so by end of the year. Link - http://www.3-study.com/redirect.php?url=ht...39&sec=business And the good news is Mazdaspeed 3 or MPS is coming to Malaysia early 2011. Those who are interested can pm me ur contact details. I will follow up once the model is open for bookings or for viewing. Some Facts on the MPS. 2.3L Turbo Engine, 6Speed Manual, 18" rim and many more. Refer to here: http://www.mazda.com.au/Vehicles/Mazda3-MP...ifications.aspx About the MPS & refer to the web site you given, estimated price of CKD MPS - full spec shall just slightly lesser than M6 2.0, or maybe slightly higher?? To me, I believe waiting for the MPS isn't a wise choise. Just my 2cents. |

QUOTE(ssaturn @ Sep 27 2010, 01:07 AM) huh? CKD MPS price less than Mazda 2.0? some where around RM 150k? Impossible right? The SA from Federal here told me, price around RM 190k.. Haha, I just made a lowest estimation, according from the provided link, it's even more expansive than the M6 2.5 - full spec. I thought only Mazda 3 is CKD, MPS also CKD? Since M6 going to be CKD too, hopefully the price is real attractive to compensate the local assembly concern, otherwise MAZDA should really put full efforts in local labor quality. QUOTE(sanik @ Oct 7 2010, 05:37 PM) hello guys.. Rotation MUST be done every 10K to ensure all 4 'low profile' tires wear evenly,do we really need to rotate the tyres after 10000km? because last time i done my 2nd service at 7000km, they said no need (i think this is optional), and just wait for the third service (17000km) then they will rotate it. anyone already done this? otherwise your tires needed to be change very very soon. Tire rotation wouldn't cost you much, outside tire shop normally charge RM60++ including balancing+alignment, Mazda authorize dealer is RM90++. |

Currently my car also touching 3,000KM, and when I pump RON 95 it do loss some power, wanna change back to RON 97 again and see the effect. Between RM300~RM450.. How much does a 17" low profile tires cost? |

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Oct 19 2010, 02:48 AM) Hey bro... thanks so much for the reply. Never knew that filling full load for the tyre will make a bumpier ride... thanks for the info You will only feel bumpier if you inflate all 4 tyres to 5person load but with actual 2~3 passenger. So no need to inflate full load if you normally drive with 2~3 passenger. |

QUOTE(furiezachs @ Oct 28 2010, 09:21 AM) I think there are some products in the market that u can check. 3M also has this sticker thing for bumper, its diamondbrite or something, but the price is like 1300-1500 per bumper... Maybe this may help, it's cheap and have good feedback from customers.BTW, anyone did soundproofing M3 so far? Been to GS lately to do alignment, they also do soundproofing but the costs for 4-doors is like 280/roll. M3 would need at least 2 rolls + workmanship 200. So total up to rm760 (it can be one more roll = rm1040). That is only for the 4 doors. Cabin floor is not included (will costs more and more rm....) Anybody has done it? What brand and where? Did the door soundproofing really affect your speakers' bass sound? Myself haven't try it yet, tend to be soon. Soundproof sticker |

QUOTE(KTS @ Nov 4 2010, 03:58 AM) dude...my parents plan to get this car, so which is most good in fc?2.0 or 1.6...any comment regarding this car please feel free to comment The car is for you or family car purpose?I don't think it best suit for family car due to the limited rear passenger leg room, especially the middle seat. If it is for you & money is not the concern, for sure go for the 2.0L. |

QUOTE(Areas Elysian @ Nov 4 2010, 04:21 PM) Yes and no. After being at the back of the new Honda City for a 3 hours trip and being at the back of a Mazda 3 Hatchback, these are my opinion. You already got your answer, as long as u like it then just go ahead.I might not be the tallest at 172, but first impression of the Mazda 3 Hatchback was, nice head room, leg space not as big as the City's (maybe taller driver, don't know..) but it was very comfortable. Compared to the Honda City that had more leg space, but somehow I couldn't find a comfortable position on the rear seat, even with the reclining feature. Also, headroom on the City is bad. Can easily knock my head. Just my own opinion. Of course Mazda 3's suspension not the best for long trips too. Do keep in mind that Mazda3 shouldn't be comparing with city/vios, I would say they are consider Mazda2 range. Mazda 3 should compare with civic/altis. |

I also considering for soundproofing too.
Totally can't stand the tire noise, it's so annoying in most of the time. |

QUOTE(joekhoo @ Nov 24 2010, 10:15 AM) It's not so noticeable when u have the stereo on. And it's all tire noise due to the 17" low profile tires I guess. Low profile is part of the reason, another reason is because of performance tires, moreover it's a TOYO.Anyone done soundproofing? On very rough road, the tire noise can even cover the stereo sound unless you tune the audio volume rather high. |
