new ps3 user here..just want to ask,

if we do the master reset (by press & hold the on button until it beeps), will all the save data, username data or wutever got deleted too?

Better u get there cuz sellers in forum which I had asked them how to differentiate last time. Even they say, they cant differentiate by looking like tat.
But actually if not mistaken, the 1 i bought also pirated one, but used for 2 years ady. Still good.

guys, ive been playing uncharted drakes fortune, and the game freezes recently, should i just take out the cd and off n on back my ps3? I t off it n the ps3 gives off 3beep.i can on back n its a slim, any idea?

That's not "master reset".
By doing that, you're just returning the PS3's display settings to its default. Do it longer and it'll return the settings to its default.

Nothing to do with your data.




Not every single game freeze = YLOD sign.
Whoever told you that deserves a YLOD him/herself.

my first game finished on PS3

guys..i got 1 problem with Optical connection to my Home Theater when playing a MOVE game. eg: time crysis (demo), sports championship etc

1. it's got sound when i played a movie with DTS / Dobly setting
2. it's got sound when i navigate at XMB
3. it's got sound when i play other games

** i realize it won't have a sound when i point to the MOVE game..normally when we point to the game (before enter it), there will be a preview of the game right?

It's normal.
Not ALL games will have an audio preview.
Heck, there are games that doesn't even have a preview at all, they just stay blank.

So yea, not a problem with your console or anything.
It's just how the game is presented.

but the main problem is..there is no SOUND when i'm playing the game

is it really bad for the lens if i don't remove the disc before shutting down?

couple of times I forgot to remove and just off it.

I think that's an issue with the game itself is it?
I see quite a few people complaining about no audio from sports championship... so..


Not exactly BAD... leave it in there if you want.
But just for the sake of safety of the lens not lighting as soon as you turn on the PS3 and the disc doesn't spin right away with cold gears.

Nothing critical to be afraid of, but I'd suggest you take it out everytime you shut off your PS3.
The PS3 BD-drive are slot drives, not trays or top-loaders like the 360 or PS2.

btw for the game to freeze every now and then is common right?

Depends, I know that firmware 3.41 (IIRC) was ridden with bugs that it kept freezing most of my games randomly. It was resolved in 3.42 or 3.5. Was damn annoying.
