Yes. I already trained my eyes since the introduction of PSone Dual Shock Controller years back. It's easily to see, especially on the buttons. Yes, for those packaging, it came off identical as those original ones. I did look through the transparent plastic sheet in front. One look and it's counterfeit.

but the ones in Sonystyle/Sony Centre shops are ori right?

@dark_heart07

Ohh! warranty claim...

but does PS3 problems often occur?

thanks!
*
it's not about problem frequency but IF anything occurs,
then it's troublesome to send it back to japan bro..
imagine you ship back to japan, then have to ship back here..

and if something happens during shipment.. etc.. shakehead.gif

better buy MY set instead, unless you're up to the hassle.

for PS3 slim, i haven't heard of any issues yet.. or else
i'm not having good info about it. PS3 phat have YLOD.

no one playing GOW3 with their home theater?
*
my ps3 connects to LCD via HDMI, but the sound is channeled
thru oldskool 2-speaker home theatre set via RCA cable (red & white).

when i play GOW Collection (remastered versions of GOW1 & 2),
during the opening clip (where you have the PS3 buttons in some
blood-like substance), i can hear sound + controller vibrates.

but if i'm not mistaken (later i go home and check on this),
GOW3 has the same clip, but no sound.. i'm not sure whether
the controller vibrates or not.

noob question, will ps3 detect my ds3 if i'm not directly in front of the ps3
*
do you mean pairing it for the first time, or using
the DS3 after successful pairing (e.g. turn-on PS3
using DS3 or pausing the game when you're not
directly in front of PS3).

i can use my ds3 to pause/play blu-ray
when i'm in the kitchen, which is ~20ft
away from my ps3, blocked (but not totally)
by 1 wall and 1 bookshelf.

bluetooth devices is usable with a distance of up to 30ft
(read from other internet forums).

i googled around and found some topics about GOW3 audio problem..
something related to DTS/Dolby stuff..

QUOTE
The stars align and the Gods smirk as my phone rings...it's my wife. I tell her my strife...she laughs a bit at first, then asks if I've checked the audio settings on the PS3...to which I reply with a curt and exasporated yes; the surround is on auto, I'm getting audio on the XMB menu, etc. It's then when an ephiphinal bolt jolts my brain and I recall that the surround sound display registered Dolby Digital when the intro started. So back into the XMB audio setting...uncheck the DTS box. Try again...with a pride-filled "you-gotta-be-f'n-kidding-me!" moment I'm sudenly engulfed in a glorious symphony of surround sound rattling my room sending my dogs scratching for the door to be let out. My wife still on phone slyly laughs and I hang up.
sarjan, ever tried using HDMI or RCA to check if GOW3 have audio?
