3-5 hours is fine, even up to 8 hours is okay as long as your room is cool.
But then again, anything may happen so... yea. smile.gif

Don't worry, just play.

i usually run my ps3 daily 12 hours straight. sometime i play, but most of the time i let it run games while i slept tongue.gif recently sent for service to change thermal paste and dusting as my console have reach the age of 2 years and 4 months. till now it has been working fine and well. still i have not throw out the option of getting a slim ps3 and retire my fat ps3.

You can only do so much to take care of an electronic gadget.
At the end of the day, if it wants to break down... IT WILL. Nothing anyone can do about it.

Not to say we should play until we have no life, the point is to just play without worrying about anything... come on we're gaming! tongue.gif

So instead of putting unnessasary mental stress on one's self, just freaking play em' games and forget about everything. laugh.gif

It can't transfer individual file more than 4GB because PS3 able to detect external hard disk in FAT32 format ONLY,
and since individual file limitation for FAT32 is can't be larger than 4GB.

You can always direct transfer from your PC to your PS3 via a media server.
Use something like Tversity or PS3 media server.

No such cable. Even if it does exist, it won't work on the PS3 due to HDCP and also PS3 does not support VGA signals.
