certain games are region-locked to specific servers.

some games allow u to choose to play at any servers globally, regardless of ur psn id.

just stick with ur current MY psn id.

most ppl created other region psn id to access those psn stores stuff (eg free dynamic themes).

done already, still the same. can access xmb, but when try to play psn games still show blank screen. try with composite cable also the same

what psn games are you trying to play?

also what's ur display setting at XMB?

i try to play all psn games that i have also same problem. shanks , lara croft , also cannot insert disc. btw im not connecting to network. thing happen after downloading shanks & lara croft. try deleting these 2 games also the same ... nevermind ill try to google if theres a same problem as mine ... thanks

could be a problem with your motherboard. your best option will be to send it back to sony for repair and but if your set is not the official my set, then may god bless you.

i wanna ask something...
i just change my hd from 160 to 500 gb..
my 500gb is WD scorpio blue 5400 rpm if im not mistaken..
then i try to do a full format on the xmb menu...
it takes 28h 50m to format..wth...is it normal?

Do quick format lol... theres nothing on the new drive, no use doing a full format.

actually the 500gb is my notebook hard disk
search the other forum..seem like it is normal,plus the feedback said that when doing the full format,ps3 became more stable

You didn't mention in your first post...
It's more "stable" in a way that game installs or games that runs from the HDD will have no stuttering.

since we all uses external speaker/home theater...does having speaker close to your ps3 will spoilt it?
