ok... just like your setup, my ps3 is output audio to my PC sound card audio input (using optical or multi-av)

that way i can have both pc and ps3 sounds

actually i have two lcd monitors (one for PC and the other for ps3)
*
I don't quite understand. Are you using PC as bridge for your sound. I'm planning to buy the splitter so that I can use my speaker with my PS3 and PC without plug it in and out.

What it means is that you use the PC as the source (bridge) for the audio.
PS3 connects to the PC, audio input.
PC audio outputs to the speakers.

This meaning that you can play music and play your games along as the audio outputs from the PC, not from the PS3.

And in this case, you don't have to disconnect and reconnect your audio cables everytime you want to play.
Just leave it there.

Got 6 controllers, all of em' are okay for me.
Including my "dead" original SIXAXIS controller.

how about 3rd party controller such as mad catz fightpad/fightstick, the mouse controller for FPS games, or those which use usb or adapter to play such as PS2 controller or saturn, are they still working fine?

4 of my controllers = DS3. All working fine.
2 other controllers = Mad Catz fightpad (the SF4 one) and a PS3 Pro Elite Wireless controller (new 3rd party controller, got it for as a review unit). All working fine also.

I don't have a fragFX in-hand now, but from what I've seen on the complaints at the official PS board, it seems their fragFX isn't working correctly after 3.5 also.

Read the first page please.
You need a Y-cable of course, unless your soundcard has optical-in then in which case you need to get an optical cable.

So I'm going to need the white and red cable right? What I'm worrying is that the cable might be pulling down the graphics since I already using HDMI to my monitor. :/

HDMI video to your monitor.
Use the A/V cable connected to the Y-cable and then input to your PC.

Set video to HDMI.
Set audio to A/V.

Your video/image quality has nothing to do with the audio then.

r u updated with firmware 3.50? If thats the case i might wanna buy the SFIV madcatz controller to replace my current SF anniversary fightpad since I need 6 button layout to play fighting game. I guess it's safe to say that the firmware only attack USB device so bluetooth controller r still safe to use while those wireless with USB sensor will not bypass the security now.

Yes, of course I'm on 3.5.

Honestly, I don't know... I don't like the fightpad.
Prefer the DS3 really.

the only reason i use a fightpad is the button layout and also the absence of analog stick which for whatever reason cant be disabled in fighting game, which kinda annoy me everytime i accidentally hit it while using the d-pad, of cos ds3 is a decent controller and it respond way better than the fightpad i was using. Sony should had release their own fightpad to save us all the hassle sad.gif

Don't have to break la..
Just modify the DS3 abit, open it up and remove the analog sticks individually from the front.

Then cover the analog holes with something so that your skin don't rub over the board.

And voila! Analog-less DS3!

I'm still waiting for MS to send me the "updated" controller to see if it works nice or not.
Wouldn't be getting one soon for sure.
