Now I'm puzzled. Is it a mass message sent to all one club members? or only people who are there?

Hi peeps,

Just got the forummers PM. I think he misunderstood the outright purchase thingy. Now for those who wants to purchase outright, please bear in mind you need to be an existing customer with Maxis to buy the phone without contract (which is, outright purchase).

If you're a postpaid customer, U can buy it by giving them ur current phone number. If u aren't, go buy a RM8.80 prepaid pack so you're entitled to purchase an iPhone 4 !

On a side note: Did anyone try asking the peoples in Machines Mid Valley to install screen protector for you? XD

Yes.. mine was installed by Machines Gardens. But it was done a month ago ; am not sure if they'll do it since there'll be an influx of people going in to make the purchase biggrin.gif

I'd forgotten to ask about the trade-ins. In fact, someone reported earlier that Maxis ain't taking any trade-ins. I'm still waiting for someone who's at Gardens to confirm.

Without an RSVP confirmation ID, U won't be given a ticket queue number. Without the ticket queue number U can't get into the purchase hall. Without getting into the purchase hall, U won't be able to get a phone so yeah U need it biggrin.gif

I think everyone must remember to take CS answers with a 'pinch of salt'. You should go there and talk to the people working at the Launch or at branches where they sell it in person.
At the end of the day, the people at the launch is the one handling the event.

Wonderful! I guess i'll head there now to ask them to install for me. I wouldn't dare to touch my phone for now, it seems so vulnerable to scratches without any protective film on it. I'll drop by at the Gardens and see whats going on there ^^

Hmm... ic.. Maxis twittered that they are accepting trade-ins at a special counter but I'm curious whether once we trade-in , can we still extend our contract? And.. Maxis stated that if you upgrade , theres no 'hidden cost' @@

Eh since ur there, can U check on trade-ins. Are they accepting trade-ins? And if so, do they take trade-ins of only smartphones/iPhones or any phones and PM me..

I'm going for training + meeting + dinner with client hence not gonna b here but I'll be back ocassionally to DELETE the spams biggrin.gif

I can confirm that they are accepting trade ins for a wide range of phones. Wanted to trade my 3G but they reject because there's a crack at the bottom back of the phone...sad.gif

If it wasn't for that I could've gotten RM580.. sigh

hi, i'm slotted for 6pm-10pm today. somebody here mention that we should go queue up now. if we r in for 6-10pm slot, will they give us a number already even before 6pm?

another question is regarding ivalue plan. Since ivalue 1 plan is only giving us free 1gb data, does it mean if we want to have more data, we can top it up with the normal daily/monthly data plan?

There's no top-up. You pay per byte after you exceed your quota, up to a maximum of RM250.
