Ok just an update hopefully not posted before because i lost track of the post so many people.

I emailed maxis and they called me to clarify few things. Firstly I asked about the warranty, lets say a person subscribes for the plan and then sells the Iphone away. The new owner can claim warranty without needing the previous owner whatsoever as usual T&C applies. Another thing is for postpaid users they actually can buy the Iphone 4 outright like now without a plan which is not stated in the website. For prepaid users, have to wait next month or so again no specific date to be able to buy outright.

YES.this stuff makes me felt like no confidence on maxis rsvp system.

i called CS earlier today and they said those who RSVP and got confirmation ID via email+sms would definitely being reserved the unit

hopefully he was telling the truth!

so its like we walk in with the confirmation num and go the counter and get it? I hope they'll have multiple counters open and accept cards

True true. I guess my idea is to explore all options (and share it with everyone) so i don't go 'd'oh!!!' on that day. Make life easier if they just let us buy it out right lol for me at least!

and this time this CS.. is giving an answer different from the forum..

he said we CAN bring the authorization letter, without bringing our father there.. as long as there's a letter signed by our father and we have to get father's photocopied IC and MY photocopied IC.

but what he is making me mad is.. he said if i were to take iphone4 from maxis.. i cannot sign up for idata2 plan!

data plans are for phones not bought from maxis..

and in that case, i'll be forced to take ivalue1, which has 333 free "local" calls, and their meaning of LOCAL is maxis to maxis..

and that means.. if u want to maintain ur bill at RM100 with ivalue1, the only way is to ONLY call maxis ppl.. if u ever call, sms or mms NON-maxis user.. you'll be charged.

as you all can see, there is no * beside the free local calls......that means, its not only applicable for maxis to maxis, but its free call to ALL MALAYSIA TELCOS. that means something wrong with that maxis fella..

wondering has anyone been asking about the SIMCARD? are we getting new microsim on the launching midnight? or we just queing to get the phone. and need to visit to maxis store again to exchange/replace simcard? or we can do it before the launching date?

The reservation is under my aunty name, but i will bring along a authorize letter & IC for the booking.
I think should be no problem?

Customers always right BUT... can you suffer from your hunger of not having iPhone 4 while looking at this poisoning thread?

Once you change ownership from your aunt's name to yours, I assume you don't need her authorization as the mobile number will be under your name. To make sure they don't go blah blah, you should bring a photocopy of the receipt to prove you are the owner of the mobile number, confirmation ID, your IC and $$$. I guess they will give you some sort of document when you do ownership transfer. To be on the safe side, make sure you photocopy that document in case they want to take it and you won't have a copy for yourself. Another note is that one of the CS told me it takes 1 day for their system to register so better bring hard copy so no arguments!
Maybe I should photocopy my IC to speed up the sign up process!

I also got the same reply about the free 333 calls and free 200 sms - basically 2 CS said that as long as there's free something, its only maxis to maxis. I don't know why the website and the CS tell diff stories but just stating what I am told.

It would be irresponsible and downright ludicrous if Maxis neglects to provide MicroSIMs outright when you purchase the ip4.

my fren take maxis desire with 1 year contract with value 50 + a 500mb data plan...which makes him rm98 not mistaken when paying...he ask me as for iphone plan...is ivalue 1 with rm100 pakage....how much call credit do we have in that ivalue 1? rm100?

my fren desire plan has a value 50 plan which give him the call credit of rm50....how abt the ivalue 1 for iphone?

I just received the maxis rsvp 9.19pm, lucky i already register it yesterday. The 12am to 4am already fully booked.

I can use my hp num to book twice, does it mean I get 2 phones? If so, How does the plan go for getting 2 phones

If not, in the end I just manage to get one only, what is the point of letting one number to register 2 slots?

this is actually explained on website.
If your fren signs up for iValue 1 now, iValue 1 will only activate as soon as his RM98 contract (value 50+500mb) ends.
Means now he pays RM98, after this contract period ends, he pays RM100, which is the ivalue plan 1.
