actually i feel that desire n dhd not much difference.. just the screen size and cam only..others are like minor stuff only..

Very simple only. Google for AmonRa recovery. Then using Unrevoked choose from the option menu "Custom Recovery". Then select your AmonRa file and follow the procedure.

I'm just curious as to how the lower pixel density on the DHD will affect user experience. As it is, 800x480 on a 3.7" screen is just enough.

there is 2 ver. of Amon Ra. 1 is with Alt keys and another 1 is without Alt keys, which 1 shall i download?

may i know what is radio for?is it for gsm,3g,hsdpa?do i really need to install new radio when i flashing custom rom?

I used AmonRa a couple of months back. Then, the version was 1.7.0.1 R5 for SLCD since mine is SLCD.
This special SLCD image was attached in one of the posts in XDA AmonRa thread (Desire Android Development)

So, is ur Desire SLCD or AMOLED? If urs is SLCD, take note of this SLCD version.
Perhaps now there is a newer AmonRa version which supports both SLCD and AMOLED.
Do update us on the version you will use.

make sure you load AmonRa before you plug in ur Desire

yes, it's also needed for android system functionalities. specific ROM works best (or as suggested) on specific radio versions.

not necessary if your current Desire is already at version 2.2.
Some ROMs suggest the same radio that comes with 2.2 OTA (32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2)
Anyway, do read the suggested radio when you flash a ROM.

As for me, I've never switch the radio version as I found it to be good.

guys, between amon ra and clockmod revocery, which is better?

Maybe we can't see the different but it may look pixelated. Need to see the actual unit to see the difference. Current Android resolution, IMHO best on 4" screen or less. So far, iPhone4 have the best resolution for 4 inch.

Some website claimed DHD is SLCD some claimed TFT. I saw pictures comparison between SGS, Desire, DZ and DHD (forgot where the source, maybe in lowyat DHD thread). The color from DHD looked washed a bit.

I prefer amonra. It allows you to set as much EXT space as u need

Then i guess just download the latest version from XDA Desire Android Development.
Only those with SLCD like myself has to be extra careful when choosing recovery images.

AmenRa supports unlimited size of sd-ext partitioning. Clockwork only 512MB (and it is sufficient for most users)
Clockwork supports ROM Manager which is handy when comes to flashing ROMs.

Added on October 13, 2010, 10:57 amYupe, read about this sometime ago. Initially was shocked by the discovery but then it has never actually bothered me. Most games still function as per normal unless those complex games which need both touches to cross axis

No, I am using ClockWorkMod now.

try search XDA forum in Desire Android Development for AmonRa recovery
Download from there. As mentioned in my previous post, if the version is still 1.7.0.1 R5 and ur Desire is SLCD, i would suggest u use the SLCD AmonRa image which is available in one of the posts in AmonRa thread.

As suggested, use no more than 1GB ext partition.

anyone know which is good radio for gprs,edge,3g,hsdap,gps?
