i think most likely we will see there are pre-cached map data that can be downloaded.

Root and flash custom rom with A2SD+.

For me, it depends on the screen specs. Not much temptation for me to change to HD for now. My current Desire is great enough. Maybe can wait longer to get something much better early next year.

all my other contacts is in my nokia phone so i need to transfer all the contacts 1st to the pc then only can upload to google account...after that can sync directly to phone...problem that im facing that in google contact u can upload one by one which is a bit tedious for me bcos i got contacts around 300+...issit possible to import from sd card to phone memory if i transfered all the contacts onto the sd card...??my old nokia can do like that...if it is possible,its a blessing for me...

Maybe you're right, wait for better spec fro HTC out. cause Desire HD make not different on the current desire as still prefer on AMOLED

You can import your contacts bulk from your sim card and sd card~~
there are option under people..

Didn't really kept up with the thread lately, where and how much you bought ur card from?

now my Desire is REBOOTING whenever I try to install an apk,

I'm on AuraxTSense v7.6.1, latest radio..

no idea what is going on, it started happening only today when I'm browsing the market and installing a few apk,
it was fine at first, I'm not sure since when it starts rebooting, and it will reboot whenever the phone is installing apk..

can someone help please!

i dun do update now haha

problem is i didnt copy all the contacts to sim bcos my simcard is new and my nokia phone is broken into 2 pieces but still can on...no screen to see though...will try to recover 1st the contacts...

something funny happened after I posted for help,
I tried powering off the device, and turn it on again
now I can install apk without rebooting anymore, weird...

I thought rebooting and powering off then on is the same thing

If non-rooted desire, can force save to SDcard?

Normally if u encounter random rebooting while installing apps (Either from market or external source), it could be some errors in ur SD card.
Try check SD card using computer and fix accordingly.

Sometimes I have this situation when unplug my charger, but I just dont mind as far as it does nt drop from 100% to 90%, if this happens then you may need to re-calibrate your battery ordy.
