CoH is really nice, but I'm looking forward to DCs Risk-style campaign. Has anyone tried the DC demo yet? What's in it?

Seriously Red, you seems to have the attention span of a gold fish... I can see it now, if u get ori CoH later u will be stuck playing Americans and come back whinning about Axis tanks being imba and Sherman sucks. Quote me for it.

IG vs Chaos on MoM

This replay basically shows how screw up IG is versus Chaos... even with twice as much req rate he can still manage to put up a fight. But I was being really lucky.

COH is awesome for its campaigns overall. But I don't think their multiplayer will last. Cuz its too realistic. you have too much to worry about. Cover, flankings, econ, which unit to build(or call in), capturing and securing, etc. Which would eventually turn out into a long tedious game.

People would prefer the CHARGE! AND WAAAGH! simplicity. It makes it plain fun and quick. biggrin.gif

Btw.. Waba the Orky u vs is ROB... Rob is a orky pro.. U can consider he is a pre santiago...

Kinda sad.. He sweep u clean, really clean.

The eldar dude.. Well yeah eldar kinda suck now feel really sorry for em.

Hunt should be proud of Orky now.. So uber..
*
I will be proud of Orks when Relic says they love Orks......but we gonna be cannon fodder for Tau.

QUOTE(king_kong @ Sep 18 2006, 09:50 AM)
hey guys, sorry for the late reply. was scouting up north over the weekend.

ok, bulk: there's no price for Dark Crusade at the moment except that i know it's due sometime t0th October-ish and so i can't confirm anything else.  best thing to do now is to let me know who is interested in the bulk.

this time around u guys can bulk with me.

so pm me if your interested and then we'll start arrangements.

on buying originals.... buying ahem isn't good. i stopped buying ahem for quite awhile and the more originals are bought, the more DoW expansions will be made.

so, start sending me ur PMs!!!
*
Put me down for one copy. I will spread the word with some of the other blokes i know and try to increase the order list. I know Hawkeye will be interested.

QUOTE(johnnycp @ Sep 18 2006, 12:05 PM)
its ain't fun. Very micro intensive not everyone gonna like it unless u are eldar or orks player. Just check your squads' morale constantly to avoid squad broken. Anywhere, it is good to learn a new thing. +oil

If you can master in melee, u can pwn noobs with ease, just like taht *tick* like Hunt use to say. sweat.gif
*
hehehe.....like i used to say ah!

Last time, Winter Assault was sold at around Rm120-130 at foreign websites but it cost RM80 for Malaysia. Not sure why izit so.

Not everyone luv fast pace game, but most of them luv fast game included me. I do own Ori Age of Empire 3 with i use to play online like mad a few months ago. in small map 1v1, it took about 25-35mins to finish a round. Sometimes it took even longer like 45mins. I can see the population at the lobby is about 3000 during off-peak and 7000+ during peak hours. I can meet lots of asian playing that games including korean, japanses, taiwanese and singaporean. Sadly, i only met 3 Malaysian own ori and play online.

All right guys, i just listened the Buggo's Podcast which talking about lastest news at Relic. There will be a new openning intro for Dark Crusade. HURRAY!!!! I would like to see Warboss standing in the middle of guardsmen swarm and fight. WAAAGH!!

I played the skirmish and did not like the game Id still prefer sudden strike and commandos(thought its not really a RTS) to COH, takes to f*** long to build and dies so fast. vmad.gif vmad.gif

I tried DC and prefer playing DC to COH I think the game play for DOW is still better than COH. Id really like the cloaking ability and jump jet in Tao especially while capturing way points.

Come on guys, lets not make this into a personal warfare......everyone has the right to speak and endorse a game that they like.........i myself have played the COH demo and would be looking forward in attaining an ori copy because its one of the most innovative style of RTS gameplay that has been brought forward by Relic.

DOW and COH may have similar methods of resource harvesting but COH's strat is different from DOW in many ways......for instance DOW concentrates on full frontal warfare that so vividly beautiful because i like the idea that DOW promotes engaging your enemy in brutal conflict.

However COH relies on attacking an enemy in opportunitist manner....you cant simply walk up to the frontline and attack the enemy....and its also about holding down key locations that could mean the difference in winning and losing.

Be open guys and discuss. Lets talk about what COH is good at and bad at....if you want, dont forget all of us here love one great game and thats DOW......for me COH is good to play once i've had my fill with DOW.....IMO....DOW is a much more faster gameplay than COH..

Red.....dont take the comments too seriously........ and ease up on him Waba.........
Im an obsessive Ork fan. I know the whole warhammer universe is fiction but the its the warhammer universe that i come too, escape from the realities and stress of life.....come on, you guys know my work and playing this game and getting as much info i can get about warhammer 40k is my de-stressing kit.

Red....dont withdraw from the bulk.....you've been here from the start and having one of the good SM vets around is great......remember one thing.....we all started playing SM before we chose our fav race......i used to play SM and Eldar all the time before i went to the Dark side....i cant help it......the lure of Chaos and the WAAAAGGGHH is too great and addictive. biggrin.gif

Well, enough of that.......have you guys spread the word around about the bulk order.....I've been spreadiing the words to all the gamers here in my office....hoping to get some positive replies.

I for one always seems to forget Red is about ¾ decade my junior... so my guess is our interpritation of words goes miles off, such as "hard core" and being "serious". So my auto reaction will be "you call that hard core? Well I'll be damned!"

But I will say it is a bad timing to buy CoH ori for now as surely expansion (and gold packs) will be out later and stuff unless u are really keen on climbing the ladder (which unfortunately, I dont feel like it after having a real bad experience with EA's Battle for Middle Earth) or play with real ppl, but i heard a standard game can cause u an hr so it wont really be my cup of tea, besides any thing to do with WW2 puts me off for some reason, not to mention it is a spec demon sweat.gif

Well, dont worry so much about how we interact.......lets try to be civil to each other but also be able to voice our disagreements without offending the other. Anyway like i said enough of this Oprah shit................did anyone get to meet those guys playing DOW in SS15......maybe we could get those guys to join us in our WAAAAAGGGHH sessions.

Well for me, i cant find half of the games i used to play nowadays......and im talking about great games.....i just rather get the ori now than trying to hunt down games that have been taken out of the market and are no longer available......Im a real fan of strategy games that are good regardless of what theme they are.....but as everyone.....my preferance is medieval and futuristic. When i say medieval...i mean how stronghold 1 is not stronghold 2 and total war games that concentrate specifically one a single element of the strategy warfare. I even play Cossacks.

Well in stronghold 1 u have to manage the economy which was nicely potrayed as the lifestyle of the ppl during those times and also creating an army.....it was and is still a good game......i just cant find the ori nowadays.......i like to collect the good games.......thats why in the case of DOW....i will continue to purchase the ori because of the concept of strat wasr that is being used and the great battles that i have in the game.

I heard DC will going to have whole new close combat system.
I'm confused which 1 to get 1st and this COH is ditching me way for the reason "COH ROXXOR!!"

I may drop from the bulk buy list. yet still need to confirm whether my PC can handle COH or not. Currently dont have tonnes of $$ to buy both games at once so choose either one 1st then get the other one next year after chinese new year($$$ flow in season)? However, i'll get both for sure.
