I was wondering since the tourney in low yat is a 2 vs 2 so will future tourney will be only 2 vs 2?

i think a 1 vs 1 would be nicer where we can see more micromangement. Unlike 2 vs 2 is all about who to gang bang and etc.
Also when i saw the tourney is kinda boring as the outcome of the game is already decided less than 5 min... This post has been edited by redeye84: Jun 24 2005, 02:46 PM |

I dunno about you but from my experience playing online i learn than 1 vs 1 is alot longer than 2 vs 2.
Also i prefer 1 vs 1 as its there more micromangement than 2 vs 2. Much more challeging than 2 vs 2 as you rely more on who has the most troops. |

QUOTE Reading other DOW forums and watching the E3 movie on WA, i think the IG will be the race to take down the Eldar (bad news for Eldar fans). I guess this will end all the shouting of Eldar being OP. Yeah and because of imperial guard we are gonna have alot of turtles in the game. just imagine a take and hold senario the IG will just quickly pump troops and send all of them to the crit point and just stay there.. I never really like take and hold cause it kinda cheap like i remember when i was fighting an eldar. I was winning then when i was trashing their base they just teleport their stuff to the crit point and by the time i run all the way back to the crit point i lost... ( the map was a big map so they had time to build up their troops there also makiing the crit point well defended. it would be great if the tourney can host both 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 but i wonder do you guys have the funds to do it or not. |

I still dont get it...
using random is like a sort of double edge sword with Pros and Cons. the good part if a player random is like mention above it gives the player a element of suprise as the enemy have to start with a general build order than once sending a scout to check the enemy he has to waste some time to change his build order to counter the enemy. Well but the drawback is that what if your random race brings you to an disadvantage like e.g lets say your enemy is an Ork and u random become a eldar and the map got alot of heavy cover so you end up in a disadvatage as the ork can take advantage of heavy cover if the fight is not favoring them. ( i know they counter for all this iam just using this senario as a to show what i mean) |

Warhammer is not relaly a popular game in cyber cafe in my area...
Most pll plays dota... Even my friends are still dotaing Back to topic As for me i only warhammer at home with internet. Honestly i woundt recomend online as a good solution for online gathering and etc. gamespy really is crappy i get players get drop out very often in gamespy. So i recomend to stay away from online for events. This post has been edited by redeye84: Jul 6 2005, 07:28 PM |

QUOTE That's why Thailand can sell their games at such low prices (From what I heard, the game itself also is localized with Thai language instead of English, but I'm not sure about it) I bought a The Sims thai version when i was in thailand it was very cheap alright 30-40 RM. The games offer 2 types of lanquage Thai and English and the Instruction manual is fully thai. My comment on the Warhammer in Bm is that the transalation is kinda poor. I think the transalator just directly transalate everything. But the best BM word of the whole game is... Dalam Medan Peperangan hanya ada satu peraturan Anda mesti membunuh !!! imperial guard
-The emperor protect! ( biar maharaja melindungi ) - We are the imperial guard, It is time we start acting like one. ( Kita adalah pengawal bekenaan maharaja, ini adalah masa kita bermula berlakon sepertinya) Space marine We are the emperor chosen ( Kita adalah pemilihan maharaja) Purge, plague, Kill! ( Hapus, Wabak, BUNUH!) And last the libarian -hope is the first step to dissapointment (harapan adalah tapak pertama untuk kekecewaan) I wonder how to transalate the word Warghhh |

nah i dont think it would sell out cos people will compare it more to warcraft 3.
hence people will say it a warcraft3 clone. This post has been edited by redeye84: Jul 30 2005, 04:47 AM |

Space marine can only build bolters at T2 WTHHH!!
Heavy bolters is the only weapon that Space marine have to counter Ork and Eldar... i hope they would reconsider that. At least pocess marine is now nerf down but i hope they would rework defilers is way to imba. Sorc in HQ ohno more sorc spam. |

warhammer the movie.... it will be cool but with todays hollywood market it wont be pratical.
About a opening movie for WA i heard they would be one and i heard they said is gonna be great we just wait and see. Anyway i hope with WA introduction more people will take more reckon of the game, i think nearly half of my frens in college have no idea of the game ( mind clouded by dota). About the sentinels issue i not really sure At walker appear in 1983 in the Star wars the jedi returns while warhammer 40k table top is intoduce in 1987 so i really not sure who rip who off. Anyway i look foward for another DOW event with the WA release it doesnt have to be a competition it can be lan party, gathering etc... |

yeah i agree.. remember back in the past the whole malaysia only play CS, Every cybercafe the only game played is only CS....
I guess its peer pressure thats what make them play game that the bandwagon play... I realize how many frens i lost just by quiting DOTA which also i learn many girls play DOTA just because every1 is... (Although i still keep in touch but i stop hanging out with them in the cyber cafe) p.s Nice pic there i think you should made the DOW fans hold guns, rockets, lascannon? since DOW is how about futuristic battles. QUOTE Mini tourney?? The winner will get what? A 'Madacasgar' game? or a 'Shake Tale'? That will make it worse it will scare off every Gamer out there. QUOTE Warcraft3 is too too popular with thousands of players on Battle.net where by Warhammer40k only have max of 400 players online during midnight. minimum are 40 players. In conclusion, warcraft3 is not a expenasive to buy. the popularity still remain the same years after years but warhammer40k........ Warcraft3 is indeed populor but in states is kinda dying there.. in Msia ppl is not into WC3 they are into DOTA more.. Msia love DOTA so much even BF2 didnt even make any significant change to the public. IMO if u look at games such as gunbound and o2j why are they popular in msia cos it free... , Same goes with CS just bump into one CC and CS is there to play in LAN. Why warhammer is not.. cos u have to pay RM80 just to go online to play. in the nutshell i think games that are free or way to play online for free or the needs for a ori is optional cos Msian are generally cheapskates and not willing to buy oris..
