Skip the D800 for now, bought X100 and play around lo.

Good camera overall, small and compact, focus a bit slow la, if compare Nikon, but fun to play.

Before u ask how much, I bought RM3250 with brown leather case, if skip the case around 3150

Imo, no need case, because once attached the adaptor and hood / filter, cant put it back in case.


What about the focusing? Really slow? U upgraded the firmware? Ada better focus?

Slower than Nikon, cant say really slow. IYup upgraded to latest firmware, straight upgrade to latest firmware, cant tell the diff better or not. From what I read, the latest firmware major improvement compare to original firmware.

AFC not easy. AFS ok to use. Also, cant auto focus close subject, need to manual focus or switch to macro mode.

So basically, the case. No need to buy lo? 

The leather case no need. Looks cool, but not much usage with adaptor and hood on. Waste of money.

Adaptor and hood, Bought the brand start with “J” forgot the brand name, not the fiji one. But I bought hoya filter for it. So have to consider those budget too. Batt also will cost money, but can consider fake or original lah, since its backup.

Yes. Afc abit cacat. Afs no prob. Not slow. Just not as far as nikon. Can't compare lah nikon af one of d best.

So you shoot see thru the view finder? Or the LCD screen? The view finder useable?

Ya shoot through view finder - eye sensor, didn't use lcd to shoot. View finder usable and fun to use.

How about the battery lifespan? Can last how long when full charge ah.

Batt lifespan abit short. Depend whether how often I chceck pics and use flash or not. No ideal how long usage for full charge.

If the camera no hood, also can pakai right. The hood for extra protection or cantik …

No hood also can pakai. But to put on filter, u need adaptor, only with adaptor then only can put hood. Imo its not only for cantik, its for protection. A must. That's why with this imo leather pouch no need.

So if go travel, mesti beli extra batt lo. One full charge can shoot how many photos?

Yes. Likely to need extra batt. Not sure how many photos. It really depend on what function one use, like lcd etc, power save mode etc. Don't expect nikon lifespan.

Hmm. Why must protect? What is the filter size, adaptor size?

Must protect because the lens front element very shallow, easily get scratch. Adaptor size: 49mm or 52mm, I depending on adaptor, without adaptor can't put on filter. I use 49mm, as recomended by many.

Now I feel like, travel and bring dslr is very tiring. Change this change that. Was looking something simple and still with quality…

Yup. Have d same feeling. Dslr + lens too heavy sometimes unless special event. E.g I have this x100 with me everyday.

Why you never consider x-pro1 hmm !

I've considered X pro1 and omd, not in d end decided against buying both and opted for x100.

Xpro1 and omd bth need extra lens, meaning besides my nikon system, I will need to have extra lens. I'm not gonna ditch my dslr yet.

X100, Old school and no need change lens. Even if X200 out, my X100 still will looks outschool and vintage and give good quality photo.

Xpro1 will likely to feel outdated when xpro 2 out.

Hmm.. true. If buy xpro 1 change lense. Then again change lense .. use back my dslr is the same. X100 is a luxury camera ! HAHAH.. so expensive. But the outlook is really vintage

X100 abit exp la, but now days cheaper aldy compare when first out. When just out its Close to 4k, now around 3.2k only.

Apsc sensor la, not bad with that price. Good low light performance, good to use up to iso 3200 le.

Also one mre thing I like abt x100 is d internal flash. It flash diffuse nicely.

Actually budget also play a role. Xpro1 or omd + basic fast lens x2 gonna cost a lot. Hence X100 with fix F2 lens, good low light made my decision.

Take d camera and try try first.

Got good n bad la, but its one good camera to own.

But if u can endure fix 23mm apsc and not as fast af, nothing else will bother u.
