freddy manson : a55 is not NEX la.. and speaking of NEX.. NEX is also Alpha. it still retains the 'a' logo IINM. hmm.gif

TrutH_SeeKeR: congrats on the new buy... u can use imageshack, photobucket or even flikr to upload ur photos.

ahpingko: Well that is one way to get funky color and a very long exposure. biggrin.gif

mastering89: It seems you should take a picture outdoors - if you only take pictures indoors, you might get the same coordinates.

8tvt: Seems that way to me.

wingster: I wonder if they still have the scroll inertia bug! (Scroll using the thumb wheel quickly and then stop - it will continue like Wheel Of Fortune.)

lwliam: Funny you should mention that since it is a very worthy add-on on the A55V.

My friend has been trying to sell his Canon 1D MkIII GPS unit with no luck! (Of course, that is a far more expensive unit.)

TrutH_SeeKeR: Nolah we can talk about Alpha NEX here also.

I think the A55 is a fantastic backup to a regular dSLR. Can cari makan with this.

For 60D the wheel is not smooth compare to all the previous semi-pro series (10D~50D,7D,5D,1D and etcs) and the button is really weird to press on compare to 550D

The mode dial remain the same concept as 550D (Having lots of scene with Auto + PASM mode) and video mode you need to turned all the way from PASM mode dial which is annoying (It wasn't like Sony Alpha series where you can turn all the way 360 degree as you like) + they add the new features which make the dial to switch even harder : the lock button on the top of dial mode which u need to press it in order to turn the dial

60D may like 550D, in movie mode the mirror will flip down and raise up again every few minutes which is another annoying part unlike 7D and 5D Mk2 where they can lock the mirror up or last longer

So I'm really impress how well A55 can do, 60D mirror mechanism is really a frustration for me some how and need to take times to get used to it where Sony you can record it without flipping the bloody mirror (cause so much delay) and then only can pressing for record

wingster, I actually like having a mode dial which stops instead of letting you keep turning. Works great in the dark for going straight to M (or A, by rolling to M and turning two clicks back.)

I didn't know they added a dial lock. I have to agree it gets annoying.

A55 has the "Full Frame" feel IMO, although is electronic viewfinder but beginner might easily get used to it compare those user who have much familiar on OVF

A560/A580 has much tougher built and larger like the A550's as well too
